Abraham-Hicks: You are beloved, blessed Beings

When you ask, it is given, every single time, no exceptions. You are beloved, blessed Beings who deserve good things but it takes self-convincing before you will allow good things.

Tacking into the Wind

Have you ever seen a sailboat change course to come into the wind? The heavy boom swings from one side of the boat to the other and the big sails flap wildly, everyone is rushing around pulling ropes and yelling. But then the sails fill with the wind and the boat takes off with grace and speed, confident in the course. That's called tacking into the wind.

It happens when I've made a big shift in my thinking. What I experience is a series of events that would ordinarily have been upsetting. A car almost hits me but drives safely and easily into a yard. I'm late for training, but they wait for me. There's usually a series of events that just lasts three or four days.

It's almost like they are shadows of the old way of thinking that manifest. They look dramatic, but come out well. I notice that they are opportunities to practice my new way of thinking and choose the new. Some would say life is testing us, but we are the captain of our ship so nobody, including the Universe or Life, "does" anything to us.

As a matter of fact, I can tell I have made a shift when these things happen. When I keep my thoughts focused on where I want to go and stay positive, I come out the other side in my new place. It's kind of fun watching these events go by and knowing they are the last hurrah of the old. I tell myself I'm just tacking into the wind.

Bashar: All possible versions of reality already exist! (When they say God is Infinite, they're not kidding!)

All possible "versions" of your reality already exist. In fact, they are all here - right under your nose - right Here, right Now. However, most of these "versions" are invisible to us, and they become "visible" only when we "tune" ourselves (via our beliefs), to be compatible and resonant with the frequencies of any one particular "version".

All possible version of reality already all exist! (When they say God is Infinite, they're not kidding.)

Bashar

I have been thinking about this quote and playing with it a lot. I am fascinated with this information about the Universe's side in reality creation. For example, I was driving my car and thinking about the mileage with some familiar concern. My father and two brothers were mechanics so I grew up hearing certain "rules" for how long a car lasts -- fending off comments that were made about my car. It's a great car and I tell them that and that as far as I'm concerned it can last 250,000 miles. That's fine with me. But I was thinking, Bashar is saying that everything IS ALREADY THERE in the Universe. It's not that we ask and it is created. It's that we ask and when we tune in to what we ask, it manifests!!! So, there's a version of my car in the U that can go a million miles!!!! All I have to do is believe in it and want it and it is mine. Boy, wouldn't that rock the automotive world!

I'm not sure if I read a quote or heard it in a workshop, but someone asked Abraham if we could grow a limb back and they said we could. It's just that no one believed it enough to allow it yet. We really are only limited by our imaginations.

I also had a realization this week that resistance is choosing something other than what we want. It's not that we are looking at what we want and resisting it. We are actively choosing something else. Everything is already there in the Universe and when we are upset and fearful thinking about something we don't want, we are choosing it!

I had some related realizations about my thinking. I was presented with what appeared to be some contrast, for example a sudden snowstorm on Tuesday during morning rush hour traffic. I was in training and the rule has always been if you missed even a minute of training you couldn't work on the project. It took me 2 1/2 hours to get there and I was an hour late. They waited for me and started 5 minutes after I got there. They waited on some other folks, too, but I was the last one. It's unprecendented for them to do this. During my drive I was actively working on my thoughts and pulling myself back into well-being almost constantly.

What I noticed was that my thoughts didn't feel good to me when I thought of something outside of me being the source. I didn't feel in control of my life and I felt unhappy. If I thought of this project as the source of my income, I felt like I didn't have control. If I thought of the snow or ice affecting my safety when I was driving I didn't feel in control and the thoughts didn't feel good. So, it was an opportunity to choose good feeling thoughts and to feel how good that is. It was the chance to come into my alignment with the caring management I had been desiring (which they are), and the work that is easy and fun for me so that I have energy and time to do what I want after work (which it is), and many other things I have been choosing in my thoughts about prosperity and living happily.

A way that I found to have better feeling thoughts: I noticed that a lot of the thoughts that didn't feel good were "what if." What if I'm late and can't work on the project? What if I slide off the road like that guy did? And this again is where the Bashar quote is helping me. Because I know now that everything I want is ALREADY real. So, when I had a fear thought, I could say even something general like, "what if the Universe has already taken care of it?" and feel better instantly. And from that calmer place I can say that "I am safe," "they are waiting for me to get there," "all is well" or whatever felt good because I know that it really and truly exists. I find that idea is so soothing and comforting. And, oh boy, does it make it fun to really start believing this is true and that I can PLAY with it!

Abraham-Hicks: You live in a state of grace

You live in a state of grace. You forget that when you feel good, only good things can come to you. It's just a matter of relaxing, and things will come.

Affirmation of the Day: I love feeling relaxed

It feels so soothing to relax. I sigh in appreciation and say "ahhhh" because I feel so good. My thoughts float by. The Universe is taking care of everything for me. There's nothing I have to do. My body feels so comfortable. I soak up these good feelings like a sponge. This calm feeling place inside me is always there. I can stay as long as I want. It's safe for me to relax. Mmmmm...I love feeling relaxed.

"Mana"festation or what is reality all about anyway?

I don't have the quote at hand, but I believe Abraham says something like 99% of what we desire is created before it manifests. Bashar and Abraham's concepts are quite compatible, but sometimes having someone say something from a different perspective gives me that "aha" that I'm looking for.

Bashar talks about the Universe's side of the equation in a bit more detail that gives me the insight I was asking for. The Iasos web site has quite a detailed write-up of Bashar's blueprint, giving the core concepts in order. So, the following is pulling information out of that context.

As an analogy, if your computer screen offers you many choices, and all you have to do is click on one of them to select it, then your imagination is the total of all the available choices on the screen. Moving the mouse to the desired choice is like focusing your imagination on one particular vision. And then clicking on that choice is like using your feelings to activate your selection.

Misconception: "Seeing is Believing" (What we perceive determines what we believe.)
The Actuality: "Believing is Seeing" (What we believe determines what we perceive!)

As an analogy,
A TV set does not "create" the program it's displaying. It just "selects" it and "allows it in".
A radio does not "create" the radio program it's playing. It just "selects" it and "allows it in".

Realizing this, it should make it feel even EASIER to create/select/allow the version of reality you wish to experience, because

YOU DON'T HAVE TO CREATE THE VERSION OF REALITY YOU WANT! IT ALREADY EXISTS! ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS "SELECT" IT AND "ALLOW IT IN"!

All possible version of reality already all exist! (When they say God is Infinite, they're not kidding.)

Creation all exists Here-Now, outside time, in one eternal-Now moment. Therefore, everything that you believe you might "someday" get, you actually already have! Everything is here now, but in varying states of visibility/invisibility - depending on the frequencies on which you are vibrating, which depends on the beliefs that you accept as "real".

When you "pray" for something, you do not need to pray to get something you do not already have, since it's already right there in front of you. Instead, you are actually praying to be able to see that you actually already have it. Because.....when you can see that you already have it, then your vibration frequency-matches the vibration of that which you desire. And once you frequency-match with that which you desire, then it has to manifest in your reality! Everything is energy. You can not help but then get that reality, because that's the physics of how the universe works. When you match-frequencies with what you desire, you will then see that it has always been "right here", just waiting for you to notice it and start enjoying it.

I just find this very reassuring. Everything that I want already exists. What Abe is saying about allowing makes a lot more sense to me. There have been some things that I have wanted that I have been working on to manifest. And there was struggle in that "work" I was doing. Even using EFT, prayer, or tools that Abe recommends... they are meant only to change my thinking...not to reel in what I desire. The wanting to reel it in like a fish on a line was the resistance -- taking the action of reducing resistance in order to get what I want is resistance!

We are SO safe! Can you feel it? Everything really is alright. Whatever we desire is right here for us.

Trust is the key.

It's not them, it's my thinking!

After the big shifts I've mentioned in February and March, I've had many little shifts. Or it possible that they aren't "little," but just that it's getting easier. I like that thought, too.

What's happening now is that I'm regaining my power over my thinking. For example, when I was younger, I came to the conclusion that my family didn't believe in me. I felt miserable around most of them. What I realized a few days ago was that I didn't believe in myself around my family.

It doesn't matter if they don't believe in me or they do. What they said or didn't say doesn't matter. Nothing outside of me matters. I don't have to do anything or say anything to them for me to feel better. The point is that I didn't believe in myself around them. The minute I had that realization, I didn't care what they said or did! It didn't matter.

It's very empowering. My thoughts are under my control and I'm able to effect how I feel by changing my thoughts.

I'm noticing that about everything. Whatever I think is "out there" really isn't at all. If I feel bothered by contrast, it is my own thinking that is unpleasant.

So, what an interesting experience it is to stand in the midst of all of it with a changed state of mind. Abe says the world around me will change to reflect my new vibration. Well, well, well. How interesting.

Affirmation of the Day: I love my energy!

I love my energy. With delight I discover that I can choose what feels good. A loving Universe supports me with delectable experiences every day. All the good things I desire, desire me, too. I am a perfect match for every good thing. Every day is like a gift waiting to be unwrapped. What fun! I love my energy!

Affirmation for the Day: I love my dreams!

My dreams for my life are my reality. It is safe for me to listen to my heart's desire. I live in a loving Universe that reflects back to me, with graciousness, the dreams that light my fire. My excitement for life is contagious. My dreams offer life to others. I love my dreams!

Bashar: Trust your Timing

Trusting your Timing

We, as our Higher Self (Over-Soul) actually creates Time (as we experience it). Our Higher Self exists outside Time and Space. It projects portions of itself into specific time/space holograms (time/space matrixes), which we then experience as an incarnation. So, from the point of view of any one incarnation, there is time, there is "past, present, and future". But from the point of view of the Higher Self, there is no Time. It's all happening NOW. It's just one big Eternal-NOW. So keep in mind that our Higher Self is creating the actual "time" that we are experiencing in a linear fashion.

When we intensely want to do something now, and it is easily possible to do it, no problem. We just do it.

But if we intensely want to do something now, and it is NOT possible to do it NOW, we are then at a critical decision-junction:

We can choose to interpret this as
"I am not getting what I want."
Or, we can choose to interpet this as
"I always get what I want. If it's not available now, then there must be an excellent reason for this."

Which of these choices we make is critical in determining the outcome, as this choice is equivalent to selecting a BELIEF, and we then experience the outcome aligned with that belief.

If you choose to interpret the situation as
"I am not getting what I want.",
then, sure enough, you will continue to not get what you want.

But the alternative is this:
Choose to interpret this situation (of not being able to do what you want to do NOW) as
"I always get what I want."
"I always get what I want. If it's not available now, there must be an excellent reason for this."

You see, often our Higher Self "arranges" time in such a way that we do not get what we want when we initially want it, only because it wants us to first accumulate certain experiences, certain skills, certain appreciations, certain connections with other people, certain awarenesses - FIRST! So that when we do get to experience this thing we want, we will then be appreciating it and enjoying it on a much deeper and more profound level.

So when you want to do something and it is not immediately available, REMEMBER: Your Higher Self is merely delaying this experience, so you get some other experiences first, so that you may enjoy and appreciate this thing you want EVEN MORE, when you do get it.

So when you want to do something and it is not immediately available, TRUST YOUR TIMING.

Do not buy into the belief that
"I do not get what I want."

Instead, remind yourself:
"I always get what I want."
"I always get what I want. If it's not available now, then my Higher Self must have some experiences it wishes me to have first, so that when I do get what I want, I'll be able to enjoy it even more. I'll be able to enjoy it on a much richer, deeper basis."

I hesitated to put even a portion of the comments in a post because this link is to the Iasos page which has the basic blueprint presented by Bashar listed in order. Each concept builds on the next concept. I find this information exciting and very helpful to me in understanding how to take action. I also really enjoy the perspective of what we see as a hologram and the Universe as a reflection. This is answering so many questions I've been having. I love how this works!

Aha! What if we see ourself as the source of the contrast?

I was just gifted by a great AHA! while enjoying my morning shower. I am so intrigued by Bashar's perspective of everything we see as a mirror reflecting back our thoughts to us. I was musing about that idea in relation to some recent experiences. I thought about how I felt and then the realization hit me. I saw the contrast that I experience AS ME...as coming from inside me! I was thinking of it as my fault and blaming myself for the experience because I wasn't loving enough to attract the loving response I wanted.

This is very, very old stuff from my childhood. I've always felt that if I was perfectly loving (or if I was perfect) that everything in my life would be perfect. A kids view of Abraham's concepts! I learned to judge the contrasting/negative feelings as "bad" and therefore myself as bad.

I spent years since childhood wrestling with those "negative" feelings and trying to root them out! Abraham has helped me realize they are just information about my alignment, but there were some Catch-22 situations in three areas that I experienced almost daily: health/body, money, and family. From Abraham, I knew what I wanted wasn't coming to me because I didn't feel good and I didn't feel good because it wasn't coming to me.

The three areas I mentioned all have ties to childhood issues and it was very freeing to me to realize that I was running some old beliefs in my mind using Abraham's concepts. This isn't happening because I'm flawed, because of who I am. I have the power to choose how I want to think and feel now.

Since I've had this realization this morning I feel so much more relaxed. I don't have to "make" myself feel anything so that I can get what I want. The Universe really does supply my needs. I do get what I ask for.

I am an ever-evolving being who never gets it done and that's ok because it's the way the Universe works.

Everything really is ok.

Bashar: feel good first

Waiting for circumstances to change so you can feel good is like looking in a mirror waiting for your reflection to smile first.

~Bashar

After posting the quote above, I explored the Bashar site. I just listened to a free audio of his workshop on The Fundamentals. If you go to the Bashar home page, click on the Free Audio link to hear it.

This is exactly the information I was asking for. Fun how this works, isn't it? :)

With great humor, Bashar talks about our nature and the nature of what we "see." He compares the physical world with a mirror, saying that is absolutely all it is, a reflection. I've often thought of it as like a video game that we play, but his explanation works well for me. He talks about responsibility as being our ability to respond, to make a choice. For us to feel good and experience it reflected to us, we have to do it with no expectation that it will be reflected -- we do it for the joy of being who we truly are. There is so much here. Abraham gave me the key to my emotions and Bashar is answering questions I had about how this works and taking action.

The 90 minute audio is rich in information and a complete explanation of Bashar's reality creation concepts told with much humor and energy. I also really enjoyed Darryl Anka's talk about his path to channeling Bashar.

What fun! Wishing you a beauty of a day.

Abraham-Hicks on negative emotions and aligning with Source Energy

I just listened to the Abraham-Hicks workshop on 10/15/05 in Washington, DC. Abraham spoke about negative emotions in a way that I haven't heard before, as an experience when we are called by Source Energy.

I've been feeling the powerless range of feelings since my latest February 28th shift and yet it has been different this time. It felt very unpleasant, but I didn't feel the need to suppress them. I was experiencing them intensely and yet I was also doing the things that I knew were in the direction I wanted to go -- my gratitude journal for one thing. After my last shift on Feb. 28, my friend Gina suggested we go through the daily affirmations in Louise Hay's book, I Love My Body. I just love saying these affirmations and they have been a great help.

So, I was wanting to feel better, doing what I could to feel better and remembered Gina's gift of the Abe workshop in DC. I just listened to it and feel so much relief. Abe was saying we ask, the Universe creates what we desire vibrationally, and CALLS US to what we want. We hear the call and the negative feelings are what we feel as we kind of stumble toward what we desire -- they are those feelings of powerlessness of not knowing what to do (such as sadness, depression, anger, frustration). So, it's important to follow them and take the next step..and the next... and do whatever comes to us. Not to turn around and go back because we think we are going in the wrong direction because we have those feelings

When we are comfortable with all of our feelings and understand how deliberate creation works, we can quickly move up the emotional ladder to alignment with our desires and feeling good.

We can get to the point where we don't even experience the powerless range, but just enjoy savoring the desire knowing that it will be fulfilled. I picture it as feeling like every day is a gift waiting to be opened.

This time Abe's message that all we experience is due to our own vibration really hit home with me and was very freeing to hear. What a relief! I'm cleaning up more of that old stuff of believing my feelings are tied to something "out there" and it's a relief to be reminded it's in me and under my control.

It's an interesting thought to consider money being inside me and not "out there" in a job or some other outside source. I can think of talents that I have, that are inside me, and when I give of those talents I receive money. I think there is much more to it than that though. I'm not getting anything from Abraham that says there is a direct exchange of "you give" and "you receive" money. The message is, be the joyful being you are in truth, and all you desire comes to you. Actually, my desire for money is actually a desire for freedom, for autonomy, for doing what I want when I want to do it, for being creative just for the fun of it, for taking care of my body and nurturing my spirit, for having fun. I'm sure more will come to me about this.

Thank you Esther and Jerry Hicks and thank you Abraham! I am so glad to feel better.

Abraham-Hicks: Wonderful long quote about who we are and what life is about

Abraham: Everything that you are living is adding unto that which we are all about, you see. And so when you sit before us and you offer your appreciation of that which we are, we cannot begin to express in words the appreciation that we feel for your place in this motion forward.

Because after all, you are out here on the leading edge of thought. You are the ones exposing yourself to the intricacies of the new possibilities. You are the ones giving birth to the thought taking it beyond that which it has been before.

And all benefit by your allowing yourself to have that experience. Whether you allow yourself to catch up with the energy and have the benefit in the moment of it or not, the Universe's expansion is because of your leading edge stance, you see.

Our work is not about that leading edge stance because we know that has to be. That is a given. We cannot cease to be and we cannot cease to move forward.

In other words, this expansion of the Universe is happening continually. There is no way of stopping it. But our part with you is, as we talk to you along the way and you now relax more and more and allow yourself the "in the moment" alignment with this energy, now things really move along in a very satisfying way.

And there is nothing more satisfying for us than to feel your satisfaction. Because in your satisfaction, you allow us fully to flow through you and it reflects back. In other words, it's like the completion of the cycle, never ending cycle.

It just keeps starting all over again. Something new to think about, something new to not understand, something new to understand. And the satisfaction of bringing it into alignment is what we are all about.

We and you are wise enough to know that we will never get it done. And so, it sort of makes you wanna stop and savor more moments, doesn't it? Nothing to race toward because nothing is incomplete.

In other words, nothing is incomplete in the sense that it is flawed in any way. Everything is incomplete in the sense that it will constantly be amended.

And so, time for everyone to focus in their NOW looking more for the nuggets of excitement and anticipation.

Looking for more things to praise and more things to feel stimulation about.

More things to analyze and more things to ponder.
And more things to conclude and more things to feel satisfaction over.

And more things to appreciate and more things to love.
And more things to enjoy and more things to savor.
And more things to anticipate and more things to explore.

And more things to not understand and more things to then understand.
And more things to feel satisfaction about and more things to adore.
And more things to find positive aspects of and more things to appreciate.

And more things to love and more things to savor.
And more things to ponder and more things to contemplate.
Are we repeating ourselves?

Guest: Umm hmm. (laughter)

Abraham: More things to continue to use as our reason for feeling good in this moment. For that is life, yes. Whether you catch a fish or not. (laughter)

Guest: I appreciate your great sense of humor, too.

Abraham: Yes indeed. (applause) There is not something that you're supposed to do. You can feel the power of that which you have the ability to do. AND YOU'RE WANTING TO FIND SOME WAY OF CHANNELING IT.

And the primary thing that we've been wanting all of you here today, to hear today, is that there are not more virtuous things than others.

In other words, everything that you're setting your attention to is worthy of source energy flowing to it. You've just got to decide what it is. Life is really supposed to be good.

And you are adored by Source Energy. You cannot get it wrong. And even though there are plenty of things that you think you have done wrong, there is nothing that Source Energy acknowledges as having been wrong doing by you.

You are pure positive energy here in the physical body, out here on the leading edge of thought doing a very good job. And Source Energy is extremely pleased to interact with you in all ways. There is GREAT LOVE here for you. We are complete.

Abraham-Hicks on the joy of who you are

Rather than wanting to hold to the past longer, and slow things down, and stop the aging process -- just revel in the power of now! You can't stop time, and you won't stop the recycling process that is taking place upon this planet, nor would you want to -- but you do not have to suffer the moving through time. Every moment can be more wonderful than the moment before.

Abraham-Hicks, From the workshop recording 1/5/02

Your Inner Being likes to skip and laugh and think about things; your Inner Being likes to offer compliments and feel appreciation and contemplate something that is not fully understood and then feel the understanding come forth. Your Inner Being is just like your frisky two-year old who is eager for life experience. To meet up with your Inner Being just be more like that now.

Abraham-Hicks, From the workshop recording 3/15/03

You are joy, looking for a way to express. It's not just that your purpose is joy, it is that you are joy. You are love and joy and freedom and clarity expressing. Energy---frolicking and eager---that's who you are. And so, if you're always reaching for alignment with that, you're always on your path, and your path will take you into all kinds of places.

February 28th: Another shift in Allowing Well-Being

Three things: You ask; the Universe gives; you let in. That's all there is to it. And if you're not living it, it's not because you're not asking. You are. And it's not because the Universe is not yielding. It is. It's because you are not in the receiving mode.

Abraham-Hicks, From the workshop recording 3/20/01

I had another big shift on February 28th. I found out on February 27th that money that I thought I would have for my rent and bills wasn't going to come in until March 28th. I panicked. Yes, because the landlord wants the money promptly on the first of the month at 9 am, but more because I felt so unsure about being able to borrow it from anyone in my family. I still didn't trust them, didn't feel I could turn to them. One brother, who has quite a bit of money, said no. My sister and other brother don't have a lot and I didn't ask them (more about this in the next post about Relationships). I tried local agencies and everything else I could think of and then asked my ex-husband. He has always been a very good friend and he said yes, he would loan me the money.

I felt so ashamed of failing. Of making choices that have led me to this situation. My financial situation's been like this for about a year and a half, off and on. I don't ask for help because there's only $3 in my pocket and no visible prospects. I ask because there's $3 in my pocket and the rent is due.

I really believe in deliberate reality creation. There are innumerable ways I could go about changing my life, but I'm doing what feels right to me now. And the payoffs have been powerful in terms of releasing old emotional burdens and baggage.

After many surgeries and the aftermath, the options for working haven't been the same as before. No more intense jobs, overtime, jobs requiring that wonderful memory and thinking process. And where I've moved to doesn't have as many options that I had before in Northern Virginia, such a rich area. I believe I can have prosperity anywhere I live and with the talents that I have. And whether there are abundant jobs here or not, I just need one. I'm looking for something I can do from home or close to it.

I just feel so strongly that it's time for me to believe in myself and believe in what feels right. As I walk in that direction, the Universe will roll out a red carpet of opportunities. As far as paying the rent on March 1, this was a quote on the Abraham-Hicks site when I was going through this:

Achieve, first, the vibrational essence of your desire -- and then, through the crack of least resistance the manifestation will be delivered....

Abraham-Hicks, From the workshop recording 3/6/04-A

Somehow or other, I have made it to this day and the bills have been paid. These are the paths of least resistance: I've gotten extremely frugal, a skill I had tuned to a fine art when I was married and in college. Jobs have come along including the absolute delight of being paid to write. I have had to let people in, to ask and accept support, especially money. When I was working the intense jobs I used to have and had lots of money, it was so easy to give, but, oh, the fear of asking and being told no! It was that old fear of being abandoned by those that I depended on to take care of me and not having the ability to take care of myself.

Somehow, the money has been there and I've tightened my belt to live with what I have. I've learned a lot about what I really need to get along.

I really do feel that we can learn in whatever way we allow. There's no need to suffer to learn what we want, the Universe provides generously and lovingly in every way we allow. So, this was what I was allowing. And the suffering and stress I experienced was due to fighting it, not liking what was happening, and not seeing that the path of least resistance was being presented and my desires were being answered in the way I would allow it.

I'm releasing old patterns and beliefs and a lot of energy is released in that process. For two or three days, I felt a bit crazy, periods of exhaustion or high energy while I came into balance. I have a lot of insights and understandings as the stuck places dissolve. It's a little disorienting at first to get outside of the box.

My own truth is much more clear to me now because I don't have someone else's beliefs in my head (or my interpretation of their beliefs).

And the other thing I experience, and this is a lot of fun, is walking through that old stuff. It's that time when I feel like I'm in the pit, I'm experiencing exactly what I had feared, and I'm walking through it. For whatever reason, I didn't complete the learning in the past. So, now I'm learning how to walk this part of the path.

I didn't know when I was younger, but I know now is that this is a loving Universe. I've learned that my call is answered, and more than that, that it is answered with an unbelievably sweet grace. I feel like I'm in a strange, new place. This morning I couldn't think what to do next to pull in money, but I asked for guidance and the thoughts came. So, now I have a plan. And I know just in the allowing, that the Universe is bringing opportunities that I'm not even aware of.

The other awareness I have, is that this has nothing to do with my family or money or jobs or being a writer or anything outside of me. These are the issues that I focused on to pinch off well-being, but they aren't important at all actually. Abe never says that we have to work to have our well-being provided. They just say that well-being is who we are, that we ask, the Universe answers, and when we allow, we receive. I'll tell you one thing. I have a lot of abundance in my life, I really do, and I'm ready now to allow a steady flow of abundance in the form of money!

The journey continues.

Some things you're not letting happen right now because the timing isn't perfect for you. Some you're not letting happen because you are very aware of where you are. But all things, as they are happening, are happening in perfect order. And if you will relax and begin saying, "Everything in its perfect time. Everything is unfolding. And I'm enjoying where I am now, in relationship to where I'm going. Content where I am, and eager for more," that is the perfect vibrational stance.

Dr. Wayne Dyer: Inspiration: Your Ultimate Calling

I believe all life, everything, is an expression of the consciousness of Love, no matter the size or form. As a lover of nature, I was so drawn to the selection about the butterfly from Wayne Dyer's new book. I love it because it shows that the butterfly is conscious and aware and responding to Source Energy.

Copyright by Dr. Wayne Dyer (Hay House, 2006), from Chapter 18, Inspiration: Your Ultimate Calling.

What follows is a personal account of both how I feel inside and what seems to take place in the world around me when I feel connected to Spirit in the ways that I've written about.

**Jack**

The same day that I completed Chapter 17 and read it over the telephone to my editor, Joanna, on Bainbridge Island, Washington, I had the most profoundly mystical experience of being in-Spirit in all of my 65 years. The photograph on the cover of the book is a re-creation of what happened.

When I finished up with Joanna, I went for my daily hour-long walk along the beach... but for some reason I elected to take a slightly different route along a grassy area adjacent to the beach. I was recalling my friend Jack Boland, a Unity minister in Detroit, who crossed over about a decade ago. Jack loved monarch butterflies, often telling stories of how he marveled at these paper-thin creatures who migrated thousands of miles in high winds and returned to the same branch on the same tree where they first emerged from their cocoons. Before Jack passed away, I presented him with a beautiful paperweight containing a dead monarch that I'd found in perfect condition. When he died, his wife returned it to me, telling me how much Jack loved that gift and how much he admired these amazing creatures who had such mysterious intelligence built into their brains, which are the size of a pinhead.

Jack always told me to "be in a state of gratitude," and he ended every sermon with this message to God: "Thank You, thank You, thank You." On three occasions since his death, a monarch butterfly has landed on my body. Since these creatures studiously avoid human contact, each time this has happened I've thought of Jack and thought, Thank You, God- thank You, thank You.

Anyway, as I walked, feeling grateful for having completed the second-to-last chapter of book, a monarch landed on the ground, three feet in front of me. I said Jack's magic words to myself (Thank You, God-thank You, thank You), and felt deep appreciation for my life and the beauty of the day. The butterfly stayed right there until I approached, then he flapped his wings several times and flew away. Thinking of Jack and feeling a little bewildered and immensely thankful, I watched this creature in flight, now 40 or 50 yards away.

As God is my witness, the butterfly made a U-turn and not only headed in my direction, but landed right smack on my finger! Needless to say, I was shocked -- but not totally surprised. I must confess that it seems to me that the more I stay in-Spirit, the more I experience synchronicities similar to this one. But what followed did border on the incredulous, even for me.

This little creature became my constant companion for the next two and a half hours -- he sat first on one hand and then moved to my other hand, never even coming close to flying away. He seemed to be trying to communicate with me by moving his wings back and forth, and even opening and closing his tiny mouth as if attempting to speak... and as crazy as it may sound, I felt a deep affinity to this precious living being. I sat on the ground and simply stayed with my new fragile friend for 30 or so minutes. Then I called Joanna from my cell phone, and she was also stunned by the synchronicity, insisting that I somehow get a picture of this event.

At this point I decided to return to my home, approximately a mile from where I was sitting, with my new companion. I returned along the beach walk, where the winds were brisk -- the butterfly's wings were pushed by these high gusts, but he clung to my finger, and even moved to another hand without making any effort to leave. As I walked, I encountered a four-year-old girl with her mother. The girl was sobbing over some perceived tragedy in her young life, and when I showed her my "pet" butterfly, her expression went from sad to blissful in one split second. She smiled from ear to ear and asked me all about the winged creature on my forefinger.
. . . . . . .
It appeared that my butterfly companion had decided that he was now going to live with me forever. After another hour or so of meditating and communing with this little creature of God -- and pondering this event as the most unprecedented and out-of-the-ordinary spiritual episode I'd ever encountered -- I gently placed Jack back on my manuscript while I proceeded to take a long, hot shower. When I returned to the patio, I placed my finger near my winged friend as I'd done many times in the previous 150 minutes, but he now seemed like a totally different little critter. He fluttered away, landed on a table, flapped his wings twice, and flew off, straight up toward the heavens. Moments with him were now history, but I still had the photographs, which I treasure.

I had a dream last night

I dreamed I was skating in the Winter Olympics. I was the age I am now, in the body I have now (although fit enough to figure skate).

I skated perfectly and went into the air in a twirling spin that I put my own unique twist on...I moved my feet together so that they went in a circle which moved my whole body rhythmically as well as spinning.

When I came down I was leaning to the left as I skated a long arc in front of the stands, the sides of the skates cutting a fine spray of ice over the crowd. The people screamed in surprise and pleasure.

I was thinking to myself, I'm doing pretty good for someone who's 56 years old.

I've decided to just have fun blogging and writing

I figured out what was bugging me about my blog. At first I had been blogging things that made me feel good when I read them and felt good give out into the world. I felt kind of glowy when I looked at the posts.

Then I thought about writing an article or book about the process I'm going through learning about reality creation and that posting here might be practice. I wrote so readers could understand Abe (which it's possible I would do anyway), but in some way there was an element of trying to figure out what readers might want to read about. I was censoring what I wrote to try to respond to what someone I didn't know might be thinking and wanting to know! No wonder it stopped being as much fun.

So, I decided to begin again, blogging just for fun. Posting things that I am giving out into the world because they make me feel good when I read them or think about them, because I love the words, ideas, and experiences I have had from them. Because it's fun for me to do it. It honors what I love. I enjoy it. Whatever -- it's just more fun to do when it pleases me.

I think writing would work best doing the same. It sounds like much more fun to me to write stories that I find interesting and that's it. Not writing to try to hit a certain market unless I want to. Writing what pleases me. It's so, so much easier to focus my energy and write that way -- and much more enjoyable. I think that's why I did spend years writing poetry and not publishing it. No worries about grammar or anything -- just for the fun of it.

It sounds like a plan. Write for fun, then ask and just let the Universe take care of guiding me to the markets and other resources to get it published.

Trees for Life

I love trees and really appreciate Trees for Life. I think of them as a peace corps for trees. They empower women, men, and children in developing countries to learn how to plant trees that nurture and nourish them with food and wood. Often these areas have long been deforested and the villages left with few resources. Tree by tree, they are making the world a better place.

I've contributed to this group, read stories of the work they do, and corresponded with them for about 25 years. If you've ever wanted to give back for the paper you write on, the air you breath, shade, or the nourishment of your body and spirit that trees give, then I can recommend this group. Read the following story they sent me. Even a small action can make a tremendous impact!

There is an ancient story of a king in India...

...who, being very pleased with a man, told him to ask for any gift. The man asked him to place a gold coin on one of the squares of a chess board and then merely double the amount on each subsequent square. That is, put two on the next square and four on the next square and so on.

"Oh, that's not enough, ask for more," the king said in his generosity.

The man insisted that was all he wanted. They king could not realize that by the time he got to only the 32nd square, the cumulative number of gold coins would total an amazing 8,589,934,591. (8 1/2 Billion)

Trees for Life says: One lesson of the story is: if each one of us inspired two others to plant a tree and they, in turn, inspired two others, think what the cumulative effect would be. In only 32 "moves" it's quite possible that an amazing 8,589,934,591 trees can be planted.

That is something within our reach.

Go ahead! Make the first move. Help plant the first tree and share the information so others can do the same. Who knows? The move you make may be the one that helps plant the next million trees.

Peace Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi

I appreciate the joyful, gentle spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, who loved animals, life, and people. This prayer calls me and inspires me.

Lord make me an instrument of Your peace
Where there is hatred let me sow love
Where there is injury, pardon
Where there is doubt, faith
Where there is despair, hope
Where there is darkness, light
Where there is sadness, joy.

O, divine Master grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love,
for it is in giving that we receive;
it is pardoning that that we are pardoned and
it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Chief Joseph: Too Good To Be True

Sentinels of the Sky
Conversations with Chief Joseph

John Cali

The other day, my friend Joe was at my house helping me with some minor household repairs. Since he owns eight rental houses, he’s good at that sort of thing. I’m not.

After we finished, Joe told me of a conversation he’d recently had with his brother Pete. Pete asked Joe how everything was going at his rental properties. "Fine," Joe replied. "Couldn’t be better. We have good people renting from us, and, lately, no maintenance problems at all. Seems too good to be true."

Then Joe said to me, "As soon as I said that to Pete, I just knew something would go wrong."

Sure enough, the next day the kitchen sink in one of Joe’s houses sprung a bad leak.

Why do we humans so often think when our lives are flowing easily, it can’t last? Why do we have such negative expectations? As if the Universe was constantly conspiring against us -- and was ready to leap down our throats if we dare to think a good thought.

Here’s Chief Joseph.

Chief Joseph

We realize how easy it is for you to get swept up in the mass consciousness of negativity. After all, you’re inundated every day of your life with all the bad news, all the things wrong with your world -- and yourself.

There is certainly no scarcity of people and organizations happy to point out what’s wrong with you. If you can’t measure up to whatever your society (that is, the mass consciousness) currently defines as "right" or "perfect," then you are, by definition, a flop -- a failure.

You live in a world caught up in a tangled web negative expectations. You always prepare for the worst -- for illness, for accidents, for war, for terrorist attacks, and so on.

And you see this on every level -- the individual level, as John’s story shows. But also on other levels -- your governments, your schools, your churches.

It’s as if no one ever heard the words your Christ uttered:

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.

Well-being is your natural state, just as it’s the natural state of the birds and all wild creatures. It is the state your higher self, the Universe, God have envisioned and intended for you.

Yes, you’ve incarnated into a world of vast diversity. A world where you have many choices and opportunities available to you.

And that’s part of the power and beauty of physical life on Planet Earth -- you get to choose from this grand banquet table of opportunities what you will put on your plate.

It doesn’t matter what circumstances you were born into -- great poverty or great wealth, or somewhere in-between. You, through your free will, can choose your opportunities. You can choose to improve your lot. Or you can choose to do nothing and stagnate. It’s all your choice.

But well-being is your natural state. And no matter what choices you make in this lifetime, you will ultimately return to that natural state of well-being. You can do it in this lifetime, or the next -- it’s all your choice.

Know this however: You do create your realities. You are powerful creators, whether you know it or not.

And so if you have negative expectations, as Joe did, you will create what you don’t want.

Friends, well-being is not "too good to be true." It’s your natural state of being. Trust that. Expect it. Above all, allow it to come to you.

Then it will be yours.
