The emotion you feel is always about the vibrational variance between where you want to be and where you are.
Abraham-Hicks, From the workshop 7-24-04
Oh, boy, am I in a good place. I've trusted Abraham's information enough in the last two years that I am really able to tell now that it works. Now I'm fine tuning and starting to experience the fun of deliberately coming into alignment with my desires. Cash, money, moola..by whatever name...is an area that I'm fine tuning deliberately now. And I come at it from different ways, using whatever techniques feel best at the time.
What just interested me was that I was experiencing a sensation in my body and took a minute to listen to it. I realized that it was a fear thought that I could feel in my abdomen and that it was a resistance to allowing myself to experience what I was asking for. I've been invited to go to a gambling boat this week. And so, naturally, I asked to win cash, enough to make a difference. My fine tuning is to allow this to happen.
I wasn't feeling a lot of fear, but enough so that it was uncomfortable. I could hear the thoughts, "You don't have enough money to gamble right now." And ramping myself up to feeling better I chose the thoughts: "I can just go to have fun. This is about feeling good, I'll let Source take care of the rest of it. All I want to do is learn to feel good in this situation. The money is here. This really works. I don't have to be perfect. Even when I had a lot of resistance in the past, I still received some measure of what I desired and that would be great. I've changed so much that I'm ahead of the game already." And as I asked for even better feeling thoughts I remembered all of the ways Source has worked to bring me cash recently. It's been getting more and more obvious to me that deliberate creation works.
And then I just leaned back and was present with the feeling in my abdomen. It was black, not a blackness that is evil, but a blackness of there being nothing there. And I just was relaxed and present with the feeling and the blackness and asked to feel good, asked to be aware of my connection to Source. And I know, that just being able to do that, I am really on my way to feeling good thinking about money. Just by being able to be calm and ask in that calmness, I know that it's all over but the shouting.
When I thought about it later, the blackness appeared to be the color of fear because fear is an illusion. There's no reality to it whatsoever. There's no real creating in it. There's nothing there. I think that's one reason it feels so scary, because it seems like the road ends and there's nothing there. So, the answer is to realize that Source is here, there, and everywhere present in every experience that we have. Whatever way we can connect, that is the way. And we know we are connecting because we feel good.
I use a lot of techniques to feel better and I've described a couple of them above. For awhile now when I've felt discomfort I've been saying an affirmation, "I relax, trust God, and allow my good to come to me." I've used the exercise above, being present with my feelings, for years. If I would feel really low, I would walk around in the "pit" looking to see what the walls were like, what the floor of it was like, what it felt like. Instead of resisting those feelings, just being present with them. It really helped release them and I could always tell that when I was able to be present with them, they were on there way outa here!
So, back to the Abe quote above and why I got on this topic. I discovered when I was doing this exercise, that the feeling of fear was resistance to allowing myself to have what I asked for -- the experience of winning at gambling. It's a pattern of thinking that had an illusion of being realistic and responsible and came up to be healed by my desire to win cash. It's not immediately easy to see, when the thought is "You don't have enough money to gamble" that it is resistance to having what I wanted. I'm not going to get into how much cash I have right now, but that thought could appear to be wisdom or being reasonable or realistic or my being responsible. The thing is, all I need is $1, maybe even 25 cents and one pull on the machine to win big bucks! I could find that money on the ground and not spend a cent of my own money. And what I spend and what I win isn't the point. The point is to feel good. So, one thing to keep in mind is that when we ask, resistant thoughts, patterns and beliefs will be highlighted in the Light we are summoning. All we need to do is use the techniques that allow us to feel good and the pattern dissolves.
All these other beliefs and thoughts that come up are distractions from what is really going on and what is really at issue, claiming our power. Parents, teachers, siblings, society, churches, advertising, and everyone else has been sharing their beliefs with us all our lives. Some we've heard and incorporated into our thinking on such a basic level that we don't even hear the words anymore. It just seems like reality. And they may have been well meaning and trying to take care of us, but as often as not, it is for their benefit -- for them to have power or get us to obey or buy something so they can make money.
There's much I could say about how society has managed the power of individuals, but what is clear from the information Abraham is giving us is that it is safe for us to be powerful and to experience and express the power of Source energy, that powerful, incredible Love that holds the Universe in place. I'll end with this wonderful quote by Marianne Williamson:
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?” Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." --- Marianne Williamson
Happy Independence Day!
