Abraham-Hicks and using appreciation as a bridge to allowing

I haven't been posting for awhile and the main reason is that my experience is coming smoothly, quickly, and easily. I get an awareness and kind of soak in the good feeling of it, relax into it and let myself become aware of anything new that might be on the edges of it, and then I'm off to something new. The whole process can happen in a matter of minutes.

I've made innumerable notes for posts, but by the time I might write it up I'm way beyond that point and don't want to look back. It's too much fun to go with the flow. A few minutes ago I just had a quick awareness and thought I would capture it in a post instead of just making a note and trying to doing something more elaborate later.

Here's the snap shot of my experience as I read this Abe quote:

We would begin saying, “I'm not ever going to get it done. I'm an eternally expanding Being, and I'm doing great where I am, and I'm so eager about what’s coming.” That’s the essence of the vibration that keeps adventurous things coming, keeps you feeling always excited, stable and secure, keeps you feeling in love with life. All day, every day, count your blessings! All day, every day, make your lists of things you appreciate. And as you keep activating what is working in your life, then more pleasing things on all subjects will flow to you.

Abraham-Hicks, 3/6/04A

Appreciation has become an integral part of my thinking and co-creating tool kit. I keep in mind Abe's information that appreciation is the closest energy to Source Energy and use it to uplift my energy. It's become more and more a part of every aspect of my day.

I have been playing Elyse Hope Killoran's Prosperity Game for some time. She offers a gratitude journal as a feature of the game and I feel so eager to journal my gratitudes each day. I get into such a wonderful energy when I do it and feel my mind expanding in possibilities. It's like I have an expanded experience of who I am.

Abe talks about using bridging statements to get from where we are to where we want to be. Bridging statements start out where we are and take small steps in the direction we want to go, raising our vibration as we move to alignment with our desires.

The sentence that really stood out energetically this morning from the quote above was this part: "And as you keep activating what is working in your life..." (by appreciating or entering it into a gratitude journal).

When I read that sentence I realized that appreciation is bridging us from our experience in the physical world to our spiritual Self, our Inner Being. It is a way, a method, for us to have the physical experience and also dwell in the deliciousness of our non-physical being.

Here in our bodies we are co-creators with Source Energy: We see. We shoot off a rocket of desire. We allow. Source manifests our desire immediately, but our "allowing" allows us to experience it.

In that first part where "we see and shoot off the rocket of desire," we are not in alignment with our Inner Being. And that's ok. That's how this process works. We are supposed to work our way into that alignment and can do it quickly.

Appreciation is that easy, delightful way to bridge to our spiritual Self and come into the alignment of allowing. It's a gentle and very pleasant way to be in the flow of Source Energy that we create by shooting off that rocket of desire.

A technique for changing thinking -- from watching Abraham-Hicks

I was watching the second DVD of the 2005 Abraham-Hicks Alaskan Cruise yesterday when I saw something that made it so easy for me to quantify my thoughts. I offer it to you as way to fine-tune your thinking for even more feelings of well-being and allowing those delicious desires to come into your life.

The questioner had asked about negative manifestations that seem to come from nowhere. Abe was explaining that they don't come from nowhere, they always match our vibration. The problem is that we often are not aware of how much time we are focused on what we don't want. They illustrated how it works by turning back and forth as they repeated various thoughts, physically illustrating which thoughts are downstream and which are upstream.

For those who may be unfamiliar with Abraham, they are saying that there is only a flow of Well-Being and it goes in one direction -- like our earth rivers, it flows downstream in an expansion of well-being and the answer to our desires. When we resist the flow, we are trying to go upstream which is impossible. The way we can tell is by our feelings -- when we go with the flow we feel good, when we resist we have unpleasant feelings -- that's our emotional guidance system.

Abe's illustration worked like this: You are standing up. Upstream is when you face in front of you -- your desires are met and you feel good. Turn around and face behind you. That's downstream -- lack, desires not met, looking at "what is" in the physical world.

A short illustration using money as an example:

Facing forward, downstream with the flow: I want more money.

Then turn around, upstream: But I have no money. My bills are due!

Start to turn forward: But I want more money.

Turn facing downstream in back of you: But I don't know what I'll do if I don't get the money. What if I can't pay my bills?

You can physically feel what your thoughts are creating using this technique.

We can become used to an underlying grumpy feeling, thoughts that we kind of mumble to ourselves in the back of our mind while we are doing something else, or even habitual thoughts that happen at certain times like getting bills in the mail.

It is consciousness raising to catch those thoughts and turn around facing the direction you do not want to go. It's a real eye-opener to actually see what that thought is doing, going in the opposite direction of where you want to go.

If you find yourself facing away from your desires just know that every single moment is newly created. Every moment is an opportunity to make a choice. Right then when you are facing backward, know there is the delicious opportunity to make a new choice. Turn around, face forward, and affirm what it is that you want knowing that it is yours -- because it is.

It doesn't matter what thing you've done, it only matters what thing you do -- because you can't resist in the past tense, you can only resist in the powerful Now. You might have started a pattern before and you might be continuing a pattern, but it's the doing now not the 'have done' that matters.

Get so fixated on what you want, that you drown out any vibration or reverberation that has anything to do with what you do not want. When you ask it is given, every single time, no exceptions. You are beloved, blessed beings who deserve good things....

Abraham-Hicks: Reach for a different thought

You're always getting a perfect vibrational match to what you predominantly give your attention to. But you've got to make the best of it. You've got to vibrate slightly different from where you are if you are going to improve where you are. You can't keep taking score of where your business is or your relationship is, or your body is, without continuing to create it as it is. To make improvement, you've got to reach for a different thought.

Abraham-Hicks, 12/6/03-B

At the heart of every condition is a vibrational pattern -- a rather minor tweaking of vibrational patterning (sort of like the hub of a wheel) can affect tremendously out there on the peripheral of this big wheel... A little bit of tweaking on the emotion can make big differences in the way the physical manifestation occurs.
