Manifesting Change: It Couldn't Be Easier with Mike Dooley

Host Carol Look interviews Mike Dooley, creator of the popular web site, Totally Unique Thoughts (TUT).... Mike will help listeners find out how and what to delegate in order to create unstoppable momentum to live the life of your dreams. Mike uncovers the reasons why we view making changes as difficult when it doesn't have to be, and shows the audience how manifesting change is actually quite easy. Mike is a master at teaching people to harness the profound power thoughts and will delight the audience with his suggestions about how to do the least to get the most out of the Universe. Join Carol and Mike for a fascinating discussion about managing and thriving within the jungles of time and space.

Paraphrasing a few of Mike Dooley's comments in Carol Look's interview:

There is one truth: You create by your thoughts. There are many paths, as many as there are people, but only one truth. You are creator. Nobody can keep you from your creating. Ultimate Secret: All manifestations including the very first one occur in the reverse order from what our senses show us. Thoughts force circumstances. The end, the thought, forces the circumstances that will yield the manifestation.

How to clarify what we want: Decide upon the general area of your life you would like to see changes. Don't think of any details -- those are consequences from these thoughts. Think in emotional terms like happiness, peace, tolerance - they are purely you, no legs in the material world -- you are not limiting the Universe by choosing the feeling. The furthest you should go in deciding is five general categories -- health, abundance, relationships, livlihood, and physical appearance (I think -- may not have written these down correctly). Think of it like: I want even more, even better or I am now surrounded by whatever it is you desire (friends, laughter, health and harmony).

Whenever the unexpected lands in our path that we have not thought about, it is always a steppingstone in a journey that we have thought about.

We are in control of the end point, but not the direction. So we get stuck because we try to micromanage the "how."

The power to have it all comes from the ability to dwell from, not upon, the space you wish to inherit. Occupy it now. Be there now. Make your decisions from it now. Be that person of your dreams now to any degree that you can. This is what creates a reality.

God has already taken care of it

Saying I love you is changing my relationship with my self and I discovered something new today. I have affirmed, "Relax, trust God, and let God's good come to you." I've realized for a long time that trusting Source was the other key part for me. If I'm allowing, I'm trusting.

This path is becoming more and more lovely, day by day. There are old situations that I experience (body, finances)...things I see and feel. And I have the desire to feel well-being when I think about and see and feel these things. I want to feel good all the way. My desire is for this part of life to be an adventure, too.

What I realized today was I can trust God to take care of these old things. It doesn't matter if I have old beliefs. It doesn't matter if I don't know what to do to change. It doesn't matter if old thoughts come up when I see or experience something. I can just affirm that I trust God. Source brings my desire through the crack of least resistance. I realized everything is already taken care of and I don't have to "do" anything to allow. Allowing "is." It is a state of being that is already the truth of me.

Abraham-Hicks: Unconditional love

...That's why teachers like us and teachers like you have come into this physical time/space reality, to remind you all how to make your own connection. To help you find your connection with core energy so that you can set your tone and never again be dependent upon what somebody else thinks about you. So that if you have a rough day ... you meditate and reconnect, or you quiet your mind, or you appreciate and reconnect, or you choose one of hundreds of pleasant images you've been practicing, that you keep in your pocket. You get one of them out and roll it around in your mind.

You show yourself how to adjust your vibration. You never again depend upon conditions to adjust your vibration. You leave behind what you have learned about conditional love, and you become one who loves unconditionally.

There is nothing that you're wanting to know that you do not have the capacity to understand fully. And there is nothing that you're wanting to know that the Universe does not already know that you want to know, and has already begun the process of answering. And so, go forth in excited anticipation that the new ideas will continue to bubble forth, and that the Universal Forces will continue to come forth in loving, benevolent, eternal answering to that which you are about. There is great love here for you. We are complete.

What I see seems very personal now

Something's happening. I'm having a sense of myself being in the midst of my experience as if I am standing still and the scenery changes around me. The physical world seems less "out there" and more surrounding me...more personal and more accessible. The more I relax about what I'm dealing with, the more interesting it becomes to explore this new awareness. What is someone else's doesn't seem mine, it doesn't even come into my's that I feel I'm living from the inside-out I'm radiating myself into the world. And I also feel this is happening because of saying "I love you" to myself when I feel resistance. It turns on the light. My whole world is changing.

These are my beliefs: I believe it is possible for instantaneous physical healing, in miracles, and in light-filled, magical experiences.

I remember an Abe tape where the questioner was asking if he sat in his room and had an allowing vibration would he get what he desired. Abe's answer was why would you want to? The fun is in molding your experience. Abe has said we could talk ourselves into anything we wanted in 24 hours. On one tape a questioner asked how far this could go...could he grow a new pancreas and Abe said yes.

Well, these are my beliefs and the way that I am interesting in exploring this experience. I used to love reading science fiction and thinking about meeting other beings. I've experienced the consciousness of trees, plants, and earth spirits. I think this world, this Mother Earth, is a magical place filled with wonder. I think we live in Eden right now.

So, now with the understanding I am getting from practicing deliberate reality creation, I'm turning from a world I tried to fit in and didn't enjoy: masters degree, intense jobs, do the right finding out that there is magic in the most mundane things, as long as I relax, trust, and allow the loving Universe to handle the details. There's no more: well, I'll do jobs, rent, etc. in the world, and I'll have magic somewhere else. Even if I don't have a clue how to work out the situation or what to do, it's my task to walk through the experience on my path, and let the Universe take care of the rest of it.

I was experiencing fear about something coming up and that's the contrast that's gotten me thinking about all of this. To feel better I've worked on my thinking, said "I love you" to myself when I felt resistance, used the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), asked my Inner Being for help and guidance, and other techniques. I do feel better...and what I experience around me seems very personal now. What I'm seeing is the result of past thinking. I'm feeling some excitement now with the realization that I can change my thinking and see the results expressing in the physical world. I'm beginning to feel freedom from bondage in the material world and the light bulb coming on that the world reflects what I think. How interesting then, to watch it manifest and to work on my thinking as I go.

So much is happening in my awareness...and so gently and quickly. I'm off to play with this whole magical idea. I have the feeling I can have it all and it feels grand!

Wishing you a magical day filled with unexpected delights.

It's never too late to change the future

It's never too late to change our future -- we're the ones we've been waiting for.

Dances of Universal Peace

"From the beginning of time, sacred movement, song and story have brought people together - at times of seasonal ceremony and celebration, as part of everyday life and life passages, in daily renewal and meditation, etc... The Dances of Universal Peace are part of this timeless tradition of Sacred Dance.

As in these timeless mystic traditions, the Dances use simple music, lyrics, and movements to touch the spiritual essence within ourselves and others. No musical or dance experience of any kind is required and everyone is welcomed to join in. Participation, not presentation, is the focus. No special attire is required, although comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is best. Participants join hands forming a circle with the Dance leader and other musicians in the center. Throughout the evening, the leader teaches the group the words, melody, and movements for the next Dance and often provides some background history about that particular Dance. The teaching is always done from a compassionate heart in a comfortable, quiet, and often sacred setting.

The movements and songs drawn from over 400 Dances include themes of peace (both inner and outer), healing (the Earth, individuals, and the global family), and the celebration of life's great mystery. Dancers focus on peace and harmony creating a sense of solidarity and community while celebrating the underlying unity of all the spiritual traditions of the Earth. By experiencing these many traditions, a greater understanding and appreciation of other cultures, as well as one's own heritage, is gained."

Chief Joseph: What is important is your attitude toward what you eat

John Cali

...This week we want to talk about another issue our letter writer raised: eating meat versus being vegetarian....:

I love the newsletters and Chief Joseph. I've never had anyone who made me feel alright exactly the way I am more than Chief Joseph. I love his wisdom.

I have the archival (newsletter) CDs, but I've not found anything in there that discusses eating meat versus vegetarianism or vegetarianism with dairy and egg products. What does he say about this? Is it okay to eat meat, eggs, and dairy products?

I'm sure there are others like me who are wondering about this question. I don't feel guilty about eating meat and send out gratitude to the creatures who are nourishing my body. I feel that, if we can consider men who go to war on behalf of a country patriots and heros, why can't those creatures whose lives go to feed us be heros, too? If I had my druthers, they'd all be raised lovingly and kindly and totally appreciated. Death happens here on earth, but I'd like to raise the quality of life for all things who are here to feed us. But the issue of honoring all life gets confusing. . . .

I mean, aren't I life? Don't I have the right to live safely and well, too? Are we supposed to let all other living things overrun us because we consider them alive? It's confusing. I'm looking forward to Joseph clearing it up for me/us, as it goes way beyond just what we eat. I mean, what if we find a sentient vegetable one day? Then, what?

Here's Chief Joseph.

Chief Joseph

Eating meat versus being vegetarian -- what a huge, often contentious, issue this has become for many of you.

Let us start with something our letter writer asked:

Are we supposed to let all other living things overrun us because we consider them alive?

Years ago, we defined love as "the choice to see the divinity in all beings." We, and others, often use the term "all that is" to mean God, Great Spirit, divine energy -- whatever you prefer.

So, it follows logically, that "all that is" includes all beings -- everything and everyone that exists, past, present, and future. And "all beings" are part of God -- they are God.

You are all God -- humans, animals, birds, insects, vegetables, fruits, plants, trees. Even so-called "inanimate" things, like rocks, are God. All of you go to make up the totality of what you call God.

Part of the problem here, as we see it, is this illusion most of you hold -- the illusion that life and what you call death are opposites and mutually exclusive.

Nothing could be farther from the truth. Life -- death -- life after death -- birth -- life after birth -- reincarnation -- these are all part of your eternal being-ness, whether you are a human, a dog, a horse, a bee, a mosquito, a redwood tree, a bean plant, a fish, and so on. All of you exist eternally -- and simultaneously -- in the physical and nonphysical dimensions.

It has always been so.

We realize those of you who have a problem with eating meat, even though you may continue to do it, are sometimes getting hung up on this whole thing about life and death.

The animals you use for food do not have those hangups. They consider their role as your food just a natural part of their flow from life to death, from death to life.

And the same goes for plants -- the vegetables, fruits, grains you use. They too have a consciousness. And, again, they do not consider their life spans, from germination to whatever follows -- "death" as you would call it -- a tragedy. It's just part of their flow from life to death, from death to life.

We realize what a problematic issue this is for so many of you.

But what is far more important here is your attitude toward what you eat -- the food and drink you give your bodies.

If you are eating and drinking something you consider bad, it cannot fully benefit your bodies. Even if it's something most others would consider healthy. On the other hand, if you are eating something most others consider unhealthy, but you do not -- then it cannot harm you.

The bottom line here is very simple. It's all about the energy flowing through you. Energy which you choose, in every present moment, by the thoughts you choose.

And so if you are doing something you believe is bad for you, it is bad -- for you.

Friends, this is all about following your inner guidance. This is all about doing only what feels right and good for you. In practical terms, that means seeking joy in every aspect of your lives. If you do that, you will flourish and thrive.

All is well!

Thank you, Chief Joseph, for that message. The last channeled material in Words of Well-Being was about following the guidance of our bodies about food. I'm attracting a lot of wonderful information about food and care of the body since the Epiphany on 8/6.

In the past, New Age workers always talked about getting the body in a certain condition and vibration in order to be connected, and if we didn't, we would not be connected. There was some fear and guilt about food mixed in with those beliefs. My experience now is that it is the other way around; as I allow the connection, my body follows. As I keep working on my thinking to feel better then I will take care of my body and what I eat.

I suppose it could work either way, depending on the beliefs of the person, but the understanding I take from my experience is that no one is left behind. It works out either way. To paraphrase Abe...fear, guilt, get rid of them! -- Suzanne

What if you feel great then something happens that doesn't feel so good

Continuing on this increasing experience of well-being, especially since my discovery to say "I love you" to myself when I felt anything unpleasant/resistance (Epiphany, 8/6/06 post):

I just posted a rampage of Abe quotes that felt good to me today. When I make a leap of well-being, it has happened that resistance has come up in my body or in my life. The more I practice choosing thoughts that feel good, the easier it gets to let go of the resistance. I can see the time when the movement to increasing well being will be smooth and the Universe will take care of the old beliefs with little notice or resistance on my part. Today I was especially looking for that quote on guilt about having things better than others which was part of the resistance that came up to the desires that are coming from this increased feeling of well-being. Sweet relief!

But if resistance happens when I make a change to well-being, what I do is keep focused on wanting to feel good and walk toward it. If something is appearing to malfunction, I take care of whatever really needs to be taken care of, but always listen to whether it feels good to do so. It can be interesting to notice the old beliefs and to choose to let them fade away. It's wonderful to have answers come to me when I ask. (I will be posting more later about some of the answers I've gotten this week.)

I want to offer what has comforted and helped me so much, a way I have of thinking about positive change: If you have an insight or work your way into well-being in some way and then something negative happens or you have thoughts that don't feel good, just know that they are coming up to be released. They are nothing, they are not real, even physical symptoms in the body. (see footnote) What's left of the old is coming up for a chance for you to choose to let it go. That old belief is weak at that point. You are at a much higher level of well-being and are able to let it go. If you don't let it go, that's ok, there will be another chance and another and another. Just keep turning to your path. Each day, each moment, is new and fresh.

If you don't realize it is coming up to be released then you might have thoughts like, "What am I doing wrong? I thought I was doing so well. I felt so good and then this happened. What am I doing to attract this?" You aren't doing anything wrong, it's old thinking that was resistance to what you desired. I call it tacking into the wind. When a sailboat changes direction into the wind, the boom shifts over the boat, the boat shifts to the new side, and the sails flap until it catches the wind and takes off. It's dramatic and looks like things are falling apart, but it isn't. It just means keep focused on your path of well-being.

With physical symptoms, I do all kinds of work. I listen to my own counsel and make decisions that feel good. Sometimes that is going to a allopathic physician, although I prefer alternative healing. I do healing myself, get herbs or creams if I feel they are right. I tell the Law of Attraction Manager I want to feel good and ask for good feeling thoughts. I call Unity prayer line (1-800-669-7729...very positive, very compatible with Abraham, you can also call for pets or world events.) There is usually a lot of things my body tells me to do. Most importantly I look at the thoughts that are coming into my mind and usually there are thoughts that are connected. I had a desire and an old conflicting belief at the same time (or more than one). The tension manifests in the body in a way that expresses that push/pull of energy.

More later. Have a beauty of a day!
At some point in my posting I got the guidance not to beat the drum of resistance in my life--what I was experiencing physically, financially, emotionally, etc (and those all happened this time, too). What I'm posting may seem obscure because I don't give details, but that's why. I'm working to be clear about what I am talking about whether I give details or not.
So guilt is "I've got it better than I deserve in [relation to] others who deserve also"? Is that a good definition of guilt? "I'm living more than I deserve..." -- which couldn't possibly happen because Law of Attraction wouldn't let it happen -- " [relation to] others, who are living less than they deserve." Which couldn't happen because Law of Attraction wouldn't let it happen.

In other words, guilt is such a wasted emotion. It's like regret -- you cannot do anything about something that was, so soothe yourself in your now.

Guilt, regret -- get rid of them.

Abraham-Hicks: A rampage of Abe on feelings and following your bliss

..when you are activating a belief that is not serving you well, you feel anger, you feel frustration, you feel fear, you feel defensiveness, you feel jealousy, you feel guilt, you feel urgency.... The degree to which you feel any of those feelings, good or bad, is the degree to which you are allowing or not allowing the Energy to flow.

Abraham-Hicks, Kona, HI, G 12/9/00A

So guilt is "I've got it better than I deserve in [relation to] others who deserve also"? Is that a good definition of guilt? "I'm living more than I deserve..." -- which couldn't possibly happen because Law of Attraction wouldn't let it happen -- " [relation to] others, who are living less than they deserve." Which couldn't happen because Law of Attraction wouldn't let it happen.

In other words, guilt is such a wasted emotion. It's like regret -- you cannot do anything about something that was, so soothe yourself in your now.

Guilt, regret -- get rid of them.

Abraham-Hicks, Philadelphia, PA, 5/3/04

Complaining about anything, holds you in the place of refusing to receive the things you've been asking for. Justifying about anything holds you in the place of refusing to let in the very things that you've been asking for. Blaming someone, holds you in the place of refusing to let in the things that you've been asking for. Feeling guilty, feeling angry, it doesn't matter what you call it, it is a refusal, not a conscious one. You're asking; you can't help but ask. The Universe is yielding; it must yield. It's a big question, folks: why aren't you letting it in?

Abraham-Hicks, 3/10/01

Your emotion, your indicator of vibration, is indicating the ratio between your currently focused desire and any other belief or thought that you hold about same. When you feel negative emotion, anger about something, or fear... the name of the emotion does not matter, it always means that there is a desire within you that, in this moment, you are contradicting with some other thought. Your emotions are always about your relationship with your own desire, and nothing else.

Abraham-Hicks, 2/17/01

The way you feel is about what you're doing with your energy. When you feel bad it's not because somebody projected negative energy to you, it's because you're not letting your energy flow. If you feel frightened, it's not because there's a monster in the bushes, it's because you're not letting your energy flow. If you feel tired, it's not because you ate something funny or because you have some sort of physiological difficulty, it is because you're not letting your energy flow.

Your Inner Being is eternally aware of you, here in this physical body, offering guidance in the form of emotion to help you know -- in the moment of the emotion -- whether you are moving toward or away from that which you want.

From Abraham-Hicks Daily Planning Calendar

There's an expression in the physical environment that you use to entertain each other -- it doesn't serve you very well! -- that says, "I worry that I'll go down to the dock, and that my ship will have already come and gone. I'll miss my boat."

And we say, another boat, another boat, another boat! You have no idea how many boats are coming to your dock. It's a steady steam, and it doesn't matter how many of them you've missed. The only thing that matters is, "What are you doing right now in your vibration?" And you can tell what you're doing right now in your vibration by the way you feel.

Abraham-Hicks, Los Angeles, CA, 08/4/01

There is nothing that you cannot be or do or have. You are blessed beings. Source adores you. You are leading edge creators. You have come forth into this leading edge environment to create. There is nothing holding you back other than your own contradictory thought. And every time you do that, your emotion tells you you're doing that.

Abraham-Hicks, North Los Angeles, CA, 3/22/03

Just like the wild beasts, you want your own autonomy. You want freedom. You want freedom from negative emotion. You want freedom from somebody telling you what to do. Whether you are consciously aware of it or not, what all of you want is a sense of Well-being.

Abraham-Hicks, 2/3/01

Hypothetically, people worry about everyone being selfishly oriented. "If everyone did exactly what they want to do, what kind of world would this be?" And we say, a really, really good one. Because if everyone did what they wanted to do, everyone would feel free. And if you feel free, you feel empowered. And every negative emotion that exists -- hear this -- every negative emotion that exists is because there is some sense of loss of freedom somewhere in there.

Abraham-Hicks, From the workshop 9/29/04

Think of this random Universe where everything is possible. The organizational skills belong to Law of Attraction. If you will relax and allow Law of Attraction to do the organization, the managing, then you can spend your time doing the things that please you.

Abraham-Hicks, 9/21/02

If it is true, and it is, that when I, meaning, any point of Consciousness, asks, it is given, then can you not feel the perfection of the selfish ego? Every vantage point gets to ask, and every vantage point is answered. And when everyone is individually choosing and Source is answering---then what could be a more balanced world?

Abraham-Hicks, 8/31/02

"Is this pill really an effective pill? Is this process really an effective process?" Anything that causes you to allow what you desire is the process of coming into alignment. And so, we're not, in any way, validating or invalidating anything. Many offer their "dog and pony show" as being the one that works. And good for all of them. We applaud anything that assists someone in allowing the Well-being, that they so much want and deserve, to flow.

Abraham-Hicks, 9/9/00

You have no responsibility to struggle. None whatsoever. Now, there are many who would say, "Well, Abraham, we sure hope everybody doesn't listen to you because there are a lot of people that do a lot of things that make our society go that do them out of commitment rather than out of joyous impulse." And we say, well, that's unfortunate - it would be wonderful if everything you were doing, you were doing out of joyful impulse. And you say, "But what if everybody woke up tomorrow and just said, 'From now on I'm not gonna do anything I don't feel like doing'?" And we say the world would be a much better place - because more of you would be connected to Source energy, angst would be gone, you would be nicer to each other, you would be locked on to your signal, all of the things you've been asking for the Universe would now find a way to deliver them to you.

If tomorrow everybody could focus upon what makes them lock on to the signal, everything that they have ever wanted would flow to them without any justification.

And now we say to you the most important part of that: not one other has to figure that out in order for you to begin your thriving. Just you.

Abraham-Hicks, Boulder, CO, 6/2/01

The basis of your life is absolute freedom, the goal is joy, and the result of that perfect combination is motion forward, or growth. Your goal is to find objects of attention that let your cork raise.

Abraham-Hicks, Virginia Beach, VA, 4/12/97

It is our desire that what you have gathered from this above all other things is:
"It is time for me to just relax and chill out and let the wellbeing that is natural to me play a bigger part in my life."

You are magnificent beings who are powerful in your creating...

Life is supposed to be good and it is supposed to be fun.

Let more of your moments be about things that interest you.
Let more of your moments be about things that feel good while you are focused on them.
Let more of your moments be about things that make your heart sing.
Or things that taste good, or things that look good, or things that smell good.

Just relax more of the time!

Be the selfishly oriented GENIUS that you were born to be and insist that you feel good more of the time.

And it is our promise to you that blessings beyond anything that you have lived will flow into your experience...AND FAST! There is great love here for you. We are complete.

Abraham-Hicks, Boston, MA, 5/15/04

You have within you an Inner Being, who will guide you through the path of least resistance, or through the path of most allowance, to the swiftest, surest route for the satisfaction of your intentions.

Abraham-Hicks, 6/6/92 A

We would never do anything that didn't make our heart sing!… And so you say, "But that choice doesn't seem to be there. There’s this choice that doesn't make my heart sing, or sort of staying where I am. So what should I do?" And we say, we'd hang around and wait for something that makes our heart sing—and then we'd jump in with all four feet.

Abraham-Hicks, From the recording G-2-28-04A, Also in GASP04 (ten tapes), San Francisco, CA

You live in a state of grace. You forget that when you feel good, only good things can come to you. It's just a matter of relaxing, and things will come.

Abraham-Hicks, 1/23/94

Nobody else knows your reason for being. You do. Your bliss guides you to it. When you follow your bliss, when you follow your path to joy, your conversation is of joy, your feelings are of joy -- you're right on the path of that which you intended when you came forth into this physical body.

Essence: Fine-tuning deliberate reality creation

I have something that I desire very specifically and am using it to fine-tune my deliberate creating. I want to feel good all along the way. What I'm considering now is the "essence" of what I desire:

Everything that I think that I need to do is all only in order to propel me to some place that when I get there, I think I will be happier. So, everything that I am doing, no matter what it is, all of my lists of rights and wrongs? are all about me getting to a manifestation that I believe I will then be happier... So, why don't I take a short cut and just go get happy?

Abraham-Hicks, From the workshop 5/1/04

You're always on your way somewhere. The key is: find a way to be happy wherever you now are on your way to where you really want to be. (We're speaking of the state of being you want.) It does not matter where you are; where you are is shifting constantly but you must turn your attention to where you want to go. And that's the difference between making the best of something and making the worst of something.

Abraham-Hicks, From the workshop recording 9/27/03

The Universe is not responding to your reality. The Universe is responding to your perception of your reality and so when you deliberately take an emotional journey you offer a vibration that causes Law Of Attraction to respond to you differently.

See how it works?

It is our desire to help you to identify how you are doing emotionally or vibrationally because if you can improve the way you feel just a little bit your whole point of attraction shifts."

Abraham-Hicks, Kansas City, KS, 9/14/05

Achieve, first, the vibrational essence of your desire -- and then, through the crack of least resistance the manifestation will be delivered... work on the essence of the feeling of freedom; work on the essence of the feeling of empowerment -- work on the essence of the feeling of Well-Being. And how do you do that? You can imagine it already having happened and pretend what it will feel like when it is that way. Or, you can look for things in your life that are already like that and beat the drum of that until they play a higher percentage of time in the vibrational signal that you are emanating.

Abraham-Hicks, From the workshop 3/6/04-A

Ok, I just pulled these quotes, put them in the order that felt right and reread them. I think I get it. Who we are is well-being. We are constantly expanding and growing -- that's important. We are constantly expanding in well-being. So, if we decide that we are unhappy because we don't have something, then we are not allowing ourselves to go with that energy of joyful expansion -- go with the flow. It's like holding onto a boulder in a moving stream. Do we stay stuck as souls? I think not. But our attention is focused, sometimes stuck, on something that doesn't feel good and so we aren't enjoying life.

What I mentioned before, that I want something specifically: I decided I am going to open up to any way the Universe wants to bring it. It would be a lot of fun to receive it the way I desire, but any way it wants to come to me is fine with me!

I think the key thing for me right now, in this fine-tuning, is allowing myself to feel good no matter what. Some behaviors we learn at such an early age that they are just feelings to us. We don't remember the decision we made when we were 6 months old to cry when we wanted something because, otherwise, they didn't seem to know what we wanted.

Feeling good no matter what is trusting that the Universe wants me to have it. That it is mine, just because I desire it. It is trusting that whatever I need is provided and that I will be ok because I will feel good in my connection with my Inner Being. As I write this, think about it, and relax, I can feel the way I was looking at my desire soften, the predetermined ideas about it dissolving. I can tell that I will be allowing new options now. Now new thoughts about how to get my desire open up to me. Instead of rigid channels only allowing in certain small ways, I feel open like a meadow.

So, the process is to find what ever way works to return out attention to the well-being that is our life force -- to who we really are. To find ways to relax. To find ways to soften hardened beliefs and experiences. To ask and know that it is given. And my experience is that asking for understanding brings a really, really quick response. Almost instantaneous.

In my desire to fine-tune my understanding of reality creation using a specific example, I learned, again, to relax and feel good. The things I desire seem to give me different perspectives where I can practice feeling good.

Have a beauty of a day.

Saying I love you smooths the experience of summoning energy

My experience of change is smoother, more peaceful, and much more enjoyable now. When I ask, the Universe answers. And what was unlike what I asked for used to come up in my face to be resolved, dissolved, and let go of. There were some bumpy rides, but it is worth it to have worked through them to learn the process and get to this delightful place.

Abe says that we can be balanced in the positive range of emotions. Sounds really good to me. They also say that as we summon energy the speed of our vibration increases, like an airplane flying at 50,000 feet. Resistance is like summoning that energy and flying at 50 feet -- less fun unless it is appealing to you.

This last technique I found, saying I love you to myself when I have a thought of resistance, is smoothing the ride for me. I don't have to do anything with those resistant thoughts! I don't have to analyze them or understand them or use energetic techniques to transform them or journal them or anything at all with them. It can be as quick as noticing the unpleasant feeling, catching the thought, saying I love you, feeling a good feeling, and going on.

Sometimes I spend time noticing what happens when I say I love you. I experience something within me rising up to meet those words. Sometimes I spend more time and give more attention when I say I love you, like a lover would, with appreciation. It's as if I can actually experience myself thinking, giving that love to myself and also experience the love that comes up in response. Well, it's lovely. Sometimes I get this glowy feeling inside and there are glowy experiences outside that seem to meet -- they feel like the same fuzzy love. And, if I feel that I am forcing it to feel better, I don't say it. I do something else that feels good.

Our bodies are intimate expressions of our energy and I'm also noticing something else: information about food, recipes, and allowing well-being in my body. It's everywhere! So funny. In the last few days I've run across food blogs, had people giving me food out of their garden, the newsletter from Chief Joseph was about food, the Word channeling was about well-being and the body, and I felt really drawn to post Abraham posts this morning about the body. What I am experiencing is that food is meant to be delicious and delightful and enjoyable and that our bodies quite naturally come to well-being. It's easy. It's fun. I don't have to manage any part of the changes that happen in my life from changing my thinking. The Universe is taking care of all of it! My work is just to enjoy it...more and more and more.

Ah, life is good. Oh, I believe I said that before. Well it is!

Abraham-Hicks: Appreciate yourself into well-being (diabetes is the example)

Question: There are two areas. One is, I want to be ageless forever! The other is, I have insulin dependent diabetes. And I've been applying your suggestion that I take that "Stick" about how well I'm doing, measuring my blood sugars... and just put it away.

And, indeed, I'm now in a whole new place: I have succeeded, I've accomplished that. I have more vitality. I'm physically active, dancing, and riding horses, I'm a happy girl. And I was really fascinated when you said that a person is 24 hours away from regenerating the tissue in their pancreas. And I'd like to know how to do that.

Abraham: We were talking about your not wanting to be the boss? And how that's not your job, anyway? That your job is the visionary, and Law of Attraction is the Manager? Well, Law of Attraction is the manager that will orchestrate all of that, too.

There's a tendency to get too actively involved, even in the visualization process. And so, you're better off envisioning the outcome than you are envisioning the regeneration of the tissue, because it's not something that you can see. That's the problem with medicine in your culture. There is so much examination over what's gone wrong that they hold themselves in the vibration of resistance that does not allow the cure, or does not allow the healing.

And so, keep dancing. Keep being the happy girl. That's the answer. Keep trusting this huge, effective manager that is waltzing into your life, on a regular basis, to facilitate anything that you have envisioned.

Think about it: You have this really good manager in place... who delegates really effectively to other managers, who delegate really effectively to other managers... and the whole thing runs like a well-oiled machine. All you have to do is occasionally point it in a direction here or there, through the power of your thought, and you have absolute confidence in those abilities of all of those managers and sub managers and sub managers, everybody playing the role that they play... Now, in the same way, once you get that worked out in your mind -- where you are trusting that the Law of Attraction will orchestrate all of that, relative to that -- then you can start applying that same process to your body. Actually, it's easier relative to your body than it is relative to others, because the cells of your body are actually operating in much greater cooperative fashion than the people in most organizations. But it is the same process.

Question: So, I delegate to my manager that, in addition to my desires, and I have a multitude of desires. I delegate all of them, basically, and I say, "I'd like to generate insulin inside my body?"

Abraham: We wouldn't even go that far. We would say, "Manager, you know what to do. You know what this body needs. The cells are giving you the indicators on a regular basis. Go to it. And I'll do my role, which is to hold myself in this light, fluffy, good feeling, rampage of appreciation, place, so that you can do your work in a non-restricted manner."

Have you ever known managers who over-managed to the point that the people who knew what to do couldn't get it done? [yes] Where, if they'd just been left to their own devices, they would have figured it out? So worried about things not happening, that they sort of over-managed -- until they created an environment that did not allow the work to be done? Well, that's the sort of thing that happens relative to your physical body when you get too consciously involved in trying to orchestrate.

You don't need to tell your body that it needs to produce insulin, but you think you do, because you're taking it externally. And so, you're saying to yourself, "Well, since my body doesn't produce this, and since I'm now utilizing it in order to bring myself into balance" And we say, that is too involved. That is too much management.

Instead, what you're wanting to say is, "I'm doing this, in the meantime, but my body knows what to do. The cells of my body know what to do."

If you knew then what you know now, this diabetes would have never begun, and certainly would not have been able to be perpetuated. But you didn't know then what you know now, and so, in your Energy misalignment, that's what got started. That was a crack of least resistance. And then, once it has manifested, now, what has manifested has your attention. And that's the only reason it's remaining. The Energy of your Being would not produce it today. So if the Energy of your Being would not produce it today, why is it remaining today? For one simple reason: It exists because you continue to observe it. That's the only hook.

"Because it has manifested, and now I see it, or now I experience the repercussions of having it -- now that holds me in vibrational harmony with it." And so, that's why we say... "The more things you can do to distract yourself from it, the better."

Question: And let go of the time reference, as well? 24 hours is immaterial?

Abraham: It doesn't matter at all. You're an eternal being. Why not let this be the opportunity of feeling the ecstasy of bringing yourself into alignment? Why not experience the thrill of getting an idea, and holding it purely in your mind, and watching the cells of your body? Why not let that be an adventure, or a journey, that is delicious for you?

Can I Get Over There From Here?

As you stand here and you say "I'd rather be over there," what you're actually saying is, "I want to go from here to over here." And we say, that's not very likely, is it? There is some distance to travel from here to there.

"I don't want to have to get over there. I want to be over there." And we say, "Well, the way you be over there is by getting there in your mind." And so, how do I get from here to over there, without that feeling of having to traverse the distance? And we say, by feeling that you are already over there.

When you are very clear that you are here, and equally clear that you would like to be over there, there is a tendency to sort of be in both places at the same time. In other words, "Here I am, I want to be there. Here I am, I want to be there. Here I am, I want to be there. And so, the consensus of your vibration is not making much movement. Where, if you could stop feeling so profoundly where you are, and start feeling more about where you're wanting to be, then your vibration is purer about this.

Now, that's not an easy thing to do when it has something to do with your physical body or your physical experience, or the stuff you see around you. In other words, "Here is where I am. How can I not recognize that I am here?" We're not asking you to stop recognizing that you are here. We're just asking you to spend more time thinking about where you want to be than you do about where you are. You just have to make where you are going feel more familiar than where you are.

And we think that if it really, really mattered, if you were really in a place of strong discomfort, that you might spend more time doing that. We think that we would make it a non-issue. We would start saying, "I'm happy where I am. I'm happy where I'm going. I'm happy along the way. I'm happy eternally. I'm not trying to get from here to there because I'm not happy here -- I'm just going from here to there because that's the natural process."

Diffusing any sense of lack of Well-being

You're wanting to diffuse any sense of lack within your experience. "I would like my body to produce insulin, but it's not a big deal, because I have plenty of insulin available to me. And so, my body is maintaining its balance. And whether I'm getting it this way or that way, I'm already where I'm wanting to be."

For example, if it's relative to dollars, Certainly I'm wanting more dollars, but I'm not wanting more dollars because I'm in a place of lack, or of not enough dollars. There are plenty of dollars coming." Your dominant work is to diffuse any feeling of lack, or any feeling of pushing against anything. That's the way you hold yourself in this place of greater allowance.

We want to find ways to convince you that the Well-being that you've been asking for is being answered. Your wish is granted. Now it's time for you to start accepting that it is done. In other words, "The financial institution has granted my request for a home loan. The school I have chosen for my child is fantastic. My body feels great. The money is flowing. My mate truly adores me. I have creations within me that are expanding. There is beauty before me. Every day of my life will be delicious. My future is bright. There is no such thing as decline. I am a vessel continually infused with powerful Energy. Well-being truly abounds. The earth spins in its orbit. The tomatoes continue to grow. My cells know what to do. My breathing mechanism is perfect. My metabolism is perfect. My elimination system is perfect. My blood knows what to do..."

In the same way that you don't put the sun coming up on your To Do list, don't put creating insulin on your To Do list. Just appreciate yourself into the Well-being that is natural to you.

Guest: I've had a really long To Do list, haven't I?

Abraham: Yes, because you've been trying to justify your worthiness through it. And nobody's watching. That's the important thing. All that worthiness you've been striving for is misguided.

Guest: Well, every statement you've made, I fully feel and agree with. And I'll just enjoy myself.

Abraham-Hicks on illness as shadows and choosing well-being

As you don't allow the Well-being in, it shows up in shadows in your life that are illnesses in your body, and deprivation of things that you want. Then you assign those things labels, and over time you come to believe that that is a reality that has a source somewhere. And then you develop whole bodies of information to protect yourself from the "evil source" that never existed to begin with.

Abraham-Hicks, 4/7/01A

"If there is no source of illness, why are there so many sick people?" It is because they have found lots of excuses to hold themselves in vibrational discord with wellness. They are not letting it in. And when they don't let it in, the absence of it looks like sickness. And when enough of them do it you say, "Oh, there must be a source of sickness. In fact, let's give it a label. Let's call it cancer. Let's call it AIDS. Let's call it all kinds of terrible things, and let's imply that it jumps into people's experience." And we say it never jumps into anybody's experience. It's just that people learn through trial and error, and through banging around with each other, patterns of thought that don't let it in.

Abraham-Hicks, 9/27/00

Wellness that is being allowed, or the wellness that is being denied, is all about the mindset, the mood, the attitude, the practiced thoughts. There is not one exception, in any human or beast; because, you can patch them up again and again, and they will just find another way of reverting back to the natural rhythm of their mind. Treating the body really is about treating the mind. It is all psychosomatic. Every bit of it, no exceptions.

Abraham-Hicks, 5/13/02

Your physical body is so near to you. It is responding PURELY to the balance of thought that you offer. It would take any of you very little to affect healing within yourself if you could acknowledge the power of thought and get your thoughts moving toward your expectation of wellness rather than toward your expectation of illness.

Abraham-Hicks, 12/14/90

There is no condition that you cannot modify into something more, any more than there is any painting that you can paint and not like and just paint over it again. There are many limiting thoughts in the human environment that make it feel like it is not so, as you have these incurable illnesses, or these unchangeable conditions. But we say, they are only "unchangeable" because you believe that they are.

Abraham-Hicks, 4/21/01

Your prayer causes you to focus, and the Law of Attraction causes everything in the Universe that's in vibrational harmony with your focus to come to you.

Abraham-Hicks, Lincroft, NJ, G-10/15/96

You see, your bodies are made up of trillions of cells, each holding the vision of their perfection and of their perfect place in the perfect whole...You see, Sara, every time anyone, even a tiny little cell in your body, asks for something - it is always given. So, when a body is injured, in some way, the cells closest to the injury calculate exactly what they need to regain their balance - and they send out immediate requests. And, instantly, the Energy begins to flow, and all other aspects of the body being to respond, too. Special helping nutrients of all kinds begin making their way through the body, and the natural healing begins, immediately. And when the person, who lives in this body, is happy or eager, or appreciative - then the healing is allowed. But if that person is sad or angry, or fearful - the healing is hindered or resisted.

Abraham-Hicks information in Sara (Book for children) pgs. 112-113

Everything that happens to you is created by the Energy you are Summoning and Allowing (or not).

And that means everything. What you're doing with Energy is what you do. You do everything with Energy. You are Energy flowing beings. Everything that happens to you and everything that happens to everyone you know, happens because of the Energy that you are summoning and allowing, or not allowing. Everything is about that relationship with Energy. Everyone you know who is having every experience that you know is having it because of the focused desire that their life has brought to them, and the state of allowing or resistance that they are in at any moment.

You Could Release any Deadly Disease, Now

You could have every deadly disease known to man, and some they haven't even figured out yet, you could have them all in your body right now -- and tomorrow they could all be gone, if from one day to the next you learned how to allow the Energy to flow. We really are not encouraging those kinds of quantum leaps, they are a little uncomfortable. What we really are encouraging is every day being selfish enough to say: "Nothing is more important than that I feel good. And I'm going to find ways today. I'm going to begin my day by meditating and bringing myself into alignment with my Source Energy. And as I move through the day, I'm going to look for opportunities to appreciate, so that all day long I'll bring myself back into Source Energy.

"If there's an opportunity to praise, I'm going to praise. If there's an opportunity to criticize, I'm going to keep my mouth shut and try to meditate. If I feel like criticizing I'll say, here Kitty, Kitty, and I'll pet my cat until that feeling goes away." Within 30 days of mild effort, you can go from one of the most resistant people on the planet, to one of the least resistant people on the planet. And then those who are watching you will be amazed at the amount of manifestations that begin to occur in your physical experience.

Abraham-Hicks, Ashland, OR, 5/16/00

Be as happy as you want to be in a world gone mad. Be as safe as you want to be in a world that is afraid of everything. Be as healthy as you want to be in a world that is mostly sick. Don't let the statistics that someone else has created affect you. You get to choose -- you are wise enough, smart enough, deliberate enough.

Abraham-Hicks and Suzanne: This moment is for something that feels good

Mining the moment for something that feels good, something to appreciate, something to savor, something to take in, that's what your moments are about. They're not about justifying your existence. It's justified. You exist. It's not about proving your worthiness. It's done. You're worthy. It's not about achieving success. You never get it done. It's about "How much can this moment deliver to me?" And some of you like them fast, some of you like them slow. No one's taking score. You get to choose. The only measurement is between my desire and my allowing. And your emotions tell you everything about that.

Abraham-Hicks, 4/20/02

At the heart of every condition is a vibrational pattern -- a rather minor tweaking of vibrational patterning (sort of like the hub of a wheel) can affect tremendously out there on the peripheral of this big wheel... A little bit of tweaking on the emotion can make big differences in the way the physical manifestation occurs.

Abraham-Hicks, G-1-29-05

We have to be enough right now. It’s the only logic. What in the world could we do to become enough if we weren’t enough now?!! It doesn’t make any sense.

And in Abe’s terms, we are in the eternal NOW and always expanding, always with new desires so maybe this feeling of not enough comes from our awareness of the vast potential of our being, all these desires flickering and winking like a multitude of stars in a night sky.

And so the answer seems to be to enjoy the smorgasbord, the banquet of possibilities. To come back to myself and walk like a queen amongst the possibilities and say I’d like to sample this to see if I want more and I’ll take one of those and please get one of those for me and load my basket with these and please carry it for me. Thank you! Oh and those look delicious and I think I’ll just sit and bask a moment in all the delightful things I see and just feel satisfied and happy and content. Now that takes my eye… And I enjoy the banquet: the trees, the flowers, birds, fresh air, breeze on my skin, clouds, storms, gentle warm summer rains, thick snow lining the tree branches, ice glistening on the pond, the sweet ducks and geese and all the birds flying free and the furry animals and those with scales and claws and those beings that swim in the deep waters, feeders of nectar, munchers of fish, furry ones who sleep all winter and those that migrate. Minerals and rocks and mountains and molehills. Gophers and ants and sparrows and ladybugs. I love them all. Beautiful Mother Earth and Father Sky. Kwan Yin, Buddha, Christ, Chief Seattle, Amethyst, guides and teachers. It is my joy to know I am one with you and that there is more, deeper, even more beautiful to come.

Suzanne, 8/13/05 Saturday 10:27 PM

The only thing that makes the difference in the way you feel right now is the thought that you are thinking right now. It doesn't matter how much money you've got; there are joyful people with no money, and there are unhappy people with lots of money. How you feel is about how you are allowing the Source that is You to flow. So when we talk about the Art of Allowing, we're talking about the art of living; about the art of thriving; about the art of clarity. We're talking about the art of being who you really are.

Abraham-Hicks, 7/20/02

Get out into the sunlight, out where everything is, with a vibration that is so dominant that those who annoy you, those who don't agree with you, those who make your life feel uncomfortable don't come into your experience, because your vibration, through your practice, has become so clear, so pure, so clean, so in keeping with what you want, that the world that revolves around you just feels like that. That's what you planned.

The Epiphany really works: I love you

I've been practicing the new technique that I posted earlier in the day titled Epiphany: telling myself in my mind, I love you, when there is something I am resisting. It really works!

I was going to my sister's house and when I started to walk I said it to my body because my legs hurt. I thought, I love you. I love my wonderful body. I love my beautiful muscles, I love my beautiful joints, I love my strong bones, I love my cushiony cartilage. I made a game of alliteration and had a bit of fun with it. There were the thoughts of "that hurt," but I can tell this works so I will definitely continue! It certainly feels better at the time I am saying it and my mind goes in a pleasant direction.

When I was at my sister's a relative had a two-year old girl there who was having a temper tantrum. It had been going on several minutes with everyone trying to distract her and comfort her. I was tempted to say I love you to the child (in my thoughts), but reminded myself to say it to myself. When I did the child quieted down almost immediately and I thought it a few more times. A couple of minutes later the young woman took the child out of the room and they did other things and became playful.

I thought it more times about any little unpleasant feeling. There is much going on when I say this to myself. I am loving myself, I am thinking of something that is pleasant, I am comforting myself, and I can feel that whatever in me that is like the outside situation is getting love. For example, instead of complaining to myself about my legs and what happened in the past, I am loving them. I noticed the little child part of me that cried when I was two was getting comfort. I don't focus on the past a lot, but I noticed something more was going on. All that matters is that right Now, I am choosing feeling good and choosing to love myself.

I'm very excited. It feels good and I like doing it. Ah, life is good!

I was standing at the sink a while ago, peeling an orange and just kind of thinking about some of the posts I've blogged the last day or two. I just moved July 1 and it's such a better situation. I feel good and nurtured and taken care of. I seem to have been drawn to information about loving myself. I was thinking about what I am discovering and posting and I had an epiphany: What if all resistance is really just not loving myself?

I posted information about a Hawaiian conflict resolution/healing practice called Ho'oponopono yesterday in the post entitled, "How does healing happen?" The article is about healing others by healing ourselves, but the practical information I took away from reading that article is that when there is the appearance of contrast that seems to come from outside of me, I can heal that inside by saying to myself, "I love you." Instead of focusing on the conflict/contrast, it becomes a reminder to me to love myself.

So, if I see someone else upset, even if not directed at me, I say "I love you" to myself (however many times feels good).

And then this morning I was thinking about lack of money and realized that it comes from not loving myself. There are thoughts and memories and beliefs about myself tied up in that feeling and vibration of lack. So, I just sat and thought, "I love you," and just felt the feelings and watched the thoughts that came up, saying "I love you" whenever I felt like it.

My epiphany this morning is, what if all contrast and resistance I experience is due to not loving myself? I'm going to give it a try. Any time I see any contrast or have an unpleasant feeling I'm going to say "I love you" to myself.

I've enjoyed the feeling of being in control of my feelings and life experience that I've gained from the Abraham-Hicks information. It's been a process of turning from seeing the world as the source (get a job --> receive money and be happy, marry Mr. Right --> be loved and be happy, look a certain way --> be happy) to realizing that Source Energy answers my desires. I get to choose what I feel by how I think and what I desire follows.

Before, when I saw things outside of me that felt overwhelming and out of my control, like the news at someone else's house, I might say a prayer, surround the person or situation with white light and/or find some way to focus on something more pleasant that felt better.

I really like this new method. I am feeling better all the time, but this gives even greater control over my feelings when I am with others or out in the world. When I say I love you to myself, I can feel the soothing of gentle regard that is focused inward. I let God take care of the rest.

I like it and it feels good.

Abraham-Hicks: Accept you and love you and accept that all is well with you

Get out into the sunlight, out where everything is, with a vibration that is so dominant that those who annoy you, those who don't agree with you, those who make your life feel uncomfortable don't come into your experience, because your vibration, through your practice, has become so clear, so pure, so clean, so in keeping with what you want, that the world that revolves around you just feels like that. That's what you planned.

Abraham-Hicks, 3/9/01

There is no risk for you out here on the leading edge, ever. And when you come to understand the true nature of Well-being in which you have come forth then you can relax and begin to enjoy this magnificent adventure which is your creative life experience. We are not here to guide the specifics of that which you choose. You get to choose that, and you can't get it wrong. We are here to assist you only to assist you in finding vibrational harmony with your desire; knowing that when you find vibrational harmony with your desire, you are, in this moment, a joyful Being. And that is our dominant wish for you.

Abraham-Hicks, 6/1/02

The Universe can please all of you at the same time. "Well, how can that be? If I want to live in the mountains and she wants to live at the ocean, how could the Universe possibly please us both?" And we say, as each of you gets to the essence of why you want what you want, and are not pointing at the other and saying, "No, no, not that, please not that," the Universe can fulfill both. Be playful. Know that it's going to be alright no matter what. Have as much fun as you can. Be as easy as you can. Don't take anything very seriously, because everything blows over, good and bad. You can't stand still. So nothing lasts very long. The best of experiences you must move beyond -- and the worst of experiences you must move beyond. Don't make where you are too big of a deal. Let it be what it is: It's a moment in time where you have the choice to feel good or feel bad. That's all that it ever is.

Abraham-Hicks, 5/8/01-B

No matter what it is, if you really want it, and if you get out of the way of it, it will happen. It must be. It is Law. It can be no other way. It's the way this Universe is established. If you want it and you relax, it will happen.

Abraham-Hicks, 9/21/02

You are all connected to Source energy and well-being is what is natural to you. And as you come to expect that things will always turn out right, then things will always turn out right. Most of all we would want to say to you, and its not an easy thing for most of you to do, but it is the key and its what we would encourage you to practice, as you work a little more at loving you, then you allow all that is you - which is pure love - to flow through you. As you don't like you, as you find fault with you, you pinch that off.

So look into the mirror, look into your eyes and say, "Inner Being, are you in there?" Your Inner Being is in there. And then say, "So what do you think about me? What do you think?" And your Inner Being will look back at you with love so deep and so sure that maybe you'll hear. Your Inner Being adores you. Your Inner Being knows your value. Your Inner Being is YOU. Self-appreciation doesn't come easy to you because you try to evaluate yourself through the eyes of so many others. You said, "I'm going to do what must please me" but at the same time you've suffered because you wanted to please them. As you look into your eyes and you find your Inner Being who is pleased - a large clump of resistance will dissipate. What we're saying is, "Accept you and love you and accept that all is well with you and watch the benefits that will come to you from that."

Where does healing occur?

I recently moved and was tense about having help to do it. I realized that if I was tense, I was probably creating tension in others that were going to help. I did my work in creating good feeling thoughts about moving and about five minutes later my sister called. She said she had been worried about the move, but had just decided everything would be alright. One of the good feeling thoughts I had was about helpers being like "ants at a picnic." From an initial two young women, at the time of the move I ended up with four strong guys and the two young women. They formed a chain to get my stuff through the elevator and upstairs to my new apartment -- much like ants at a picnic! I realized how much what I feel affects others.

The following article about Ho'oponopono is about how healing and loving ourselves is also healing for others. It reminds me of a workshop on healing relationships I attended several years ago led by Michael Ryce at Heartland. Basically, Michael's message is that we heal in the presence of love. I also think of Ghandi saying "be the peace you wish to see in the world." As Abraham is saying, we are in control of our experience.

I appreciate some of the concepts in Joe Vitale's article and will include what feels good to me. The complete article is on Jeremiah's web site.

I think basically our task is to love ourselves and when we are not feeling love for others, it can be a reflection of something we hold inside ourselves. So, I offer this article as another technique and idea to soothe, comfort and love ourselves. It is especially useful if there is a situation or relationship that feels stuck or "in your face" and shows how we can affect others in our experience even when we don't directly focus our thinking on them.

May you walk in beauty...

From Jeremiah's Blog:

This is an article that may help some of you understand that we don't fix or heal anything out there. It is all in us. There is no out there....

The only place healing the world occurs is inside of us....My point is, there really is only one of Us.

Blessed Be,

by Joe Vitale

“Two years ago, I heard about a therapist in Hawaii who cured a complete ward of criminally insane patients–without ever seeing any of them. The psychologist would study an inmate's chart and then look within himself to see how he created that person's illness. As he improved himself, the patient improved.

“When I first heard this story, I thought it was an urban legend. How could anyone heal anyone else by healing himself? How could even the best self-improvement master cure the criminally insane? It didn't make any sense. It wasn't logical, so I dismissed the story.

“However, I heard it again a year later. I heard that the therapist had used a Hawaiian healing process called ho 'oponopono..... His name is Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len. We probably spent an hour talking on our first phone call. I asked him to tell me the complete story of his work as a therapist.

He explained that he worked at Hawaii State Hospital for four years.

That ward where they kept the criminally insane was dangerous.

Psychologists quit on a monthly basis. The staff called in sick a lot or simply quit. People would walk through that ward with their backs against the wall, afraid of being attacked by patients. It was not a pleasant place to live, work, or visit.

“Dr. Len told me that he never saw patients. He agreed to have an office and to review their files. While he looked at those files, he would work on himself. As he worked on himself, patients began to heal.

“'After a few months, patients that had to be shackled were being allowed to walk freely,' he told me. 'Others who had to be heavily medicated were getting off their medications. And those who had no chance of ever being released were being freed.' I was in awe. ‘Not only that,' he went on, 'but the staff began to enjoy coming to work.

Absenteeism and turnover disappeared. We ended up with more staff than we needed because patients were being released, and all the staff was showing up to work. Today, that ward is closed.'

“This is where I had to ask the million dollar question: 'What were you doing within yourself that caused those people to change?'

“'I was simply healing the part of me that created them,' he said. I didn't understand. Dr. Len explained ....[I]n a literal sense the entire world is your creation. I spoke with Dr. Len, I began to realize that healing for him and in ho 'oponopono means loving yourself.

“I asked Dr. Len how he went about healing himself. What was he doing, exactly, when he looked at those patients' files?

“'I just kept saying, 'I'm sorry' and 'I love you' over and over again,' he explained.

“That's it?

“That's it.

“Turns out that loving yourself is the greatest way to improve yourself, and as you improve yourself, you improve your world.

“Let me give you a quick example of how this works: one day, someone sent me an email that upset me. In the past I would have handled it by working on my emotional hot buttons or by trying to reason with the person who sent the nasty message.

“This time, I decided to try Dr. Len's method. I kept silently saying, 'I'm sorry' and 'I love you,' I didn't say it to anyone in particular. I was simply evoking the spirit of love to heal within me what was creating the outer circumstance.

“Within an hour I got an e-mail from the same person. He apologized for his previous message. Keep in mind that I didn't take any outward action to get that apology. I didn't even write him back. Yet, by saying 'I love you,' I somehow healed within me what was creating him.

“I later attended a ho 'oponopono workshop run by Dr. Len. He's now 70 years old, considered a grandfatherly shaman, and is somewhat reclusive.

“Suffice It to say that whenever you want to improve anything in your life, there's only one place to look: inside you. When you look, do it with love.”
Ho'oponopono ("to make right")is a universal "conflict resolution/healing" method from Hawaii.

I just Googled for a source of the article by Joe Vitale, but wasn't able to find it. Perhaps this is something he has written to market his book, The Attractor Factor. Several people had the article posted without noting the source. For more information, I suggest Googling Ho'oponopono and/or Joe Vitale

Feeling good is our natural state of being. Deliberate creating is choosing thoughts that feel good.

From Mousie...(re a Words of Well-Being post)

I have read in many books that we attract what we think about, which sometimes gives me an uneasy feeling, as it is not always easy to avoid negative thoughts. But in your November 26 post you say we attract the essence of who we are, which sounds like a more comforting thought to me. Could you elaborate on that? Thank you.

From Suzanne...

Hi Mousie! I've been reading Abraham-Hicks for about three years now and they do address your question about negative thoughts quite a bit. You're asking about something key to deliberate creating. I do have some Abe quotes stored up so I'll look through them a bit. I probably have some related to this topic.

In my perspective, reality creation tells us that we create by our thoughts. Abraham-Hicks goes further by talking about the connection between what we think and how we feel -- that how we feel is information from our Inner Being about our thoughts. Furthermore, because we can choose our thoughts, we can be deliberate creators.

So, the important thing for you is that you were thinking a thought that didn't feel good (you felt uneasiness) and you chose a better feeling thought.

I don't know that it is as simple as "what we think about we attract." I think there could be people who write books about murders who have a strong sense of justice. If they felt good when they were writing the books, I think that is the vibration they would offer and which would do the attracting. They feel good so they attract awards and money and success.

Someone may have a vibration of feeling unworthy and a victim. Their thoughts follow that feeling. They have an emotional filter so they interpret the actions of others as taking advantage of them and they think the thoughts that follow their feelings. They could think thoughts of being a victim until they attract that experience of being murdered. Even so, they are also receiving kindness from others. Maybe they don't let it in, but it's there.

I've read your blog and it is full of your joy and appreciation in life. These thoughts that you feel uneasy about are just little practice sessions for you to feel better. Just find a way to soothe yourself and to feel better. They are not important in and of themselves. Our experience in these bodies is about contrast so we will be seeing and reading things we like and things we don't. You will have thoughts that feel good and ones that don't. Only you know what feels good and you are the one that gets to choose what you think and feel.

I love having the chance to rummage through my Abe quotes -- I always see something new. I didn't find the quotes I was thinking about, they are probably actually ones I've heard on tapes. I did ask the Law of Attraction Manager to be my guide in choosing quotes about how we think and create and found some I've added below. Do look at the one that says "There is only a Source of Well-being---which you are allowing or not." So, the feeling is just telling you that you were pinching yourself off from Well-being. I like that way of thinking about it much more. Well-being is still there, so with a thought, I can connect again. There's no need to be concerned about the thought that we felt uneasy about at all, just to choose better feeling thoughts that return us to our connection. That's what we practice with deliberate creating.

Wishing you a beauty of a day -- Suzanne

The thought that you think, you think, which attracts to it; so you think it some more, which attracts to it; so you think it some more. In other words, when you have an expectation, you've got a dominant thought going on, and Law of Attraction is going to deliver that to you again, and again and again. And you say "The reason that I believe this, is because it is true." And we say, the reason that you believe it, is because you've practiced the thought. All that a belief is, is a thought that you keep practicing.

expressed by Abraham-Hicks, 5/28/02

We practice the Art of Allowing. Which means reaching for the thought that feels best, not the thought that is the real thought, not the thought that is telling it like it is. Telling it like it is only holds you where it is: "Damn it, I'm going to tell it like it is. I'm going to tell it like it is, because everybody wants me to tell it like it is." Tell it like it is if you like it like it is. But if you don't like it like it is, then don't tell it like it is -- tell it like you want it to be. If you tell it like you want it to be, long enough, you will begin to feel it like you want it to be, and when you feel it like you want it to be, it be's like you want it to be.

Abraham-Hicks, From the workshop 9/30/00

You have your hand on the switch. You are the allower or the resister. And your emotions tell you which you're doing right now. It's easy once you understand the formula: When you feel good, you're allowing good. When you don't feel good, you are not allowing good. We didn't say, when you feel good you are allowing good, and when you feel bad you are allowing bad (although it may translate into your experience in that way). There is only a Source of Well-being---which you are allowing or not.

Abraham-Hicks, From the workshop 7/20/02

We want you to enjoy the contrasting experience, just like you enjoy the contrasting buffet. And we want you to reach the place (and practicing Virtual Reality will help you to gain this confidence) that whenever you're in front of a buffet that has so much that you do like to eat, as well as some that you don't like to eat, you don't feel frustrated that there are things there you don't want to eat. You don't feel compelled to put them on your plate and eat them; you just pick the things that you like. And the Universe of thought is the same way. You can choose from it the things that you like.

expressed by Abraham-Hicks, 6/29/02

We're not teaching reaching for thoughts that feel better so that you can make things turn out the way you want them to turn out. We're teaching it because in this moment of your frustration is your life, and we would not squander life on frustration. In other words, we want you to reach for thoughts that feel good not to get end-results that you want -- although you will -- but because when you reach for thoughts that feel good, you allow the connection of who you are here and now. That's what matters, you see.

We're not teaching the Art of Allowing or the Science of Deliberate Creation because we see the absence of things you need or relationships you need and we want to show you how to get those into your life experience. Your life is right now, your life is right now, your life is right now, your life is right now. And everything that you've ever wanted, anyway, is because you think you will feel better in the having of it. Feeling is life.

Feeling is life. Life is how I feel. There's nothing more. Life isn't about what has been and how I felt about it, unless how I felt about it is conjuring the way I'm feeling now. What is coming isn't about anything except how I'm feeling now as I'm thinking about what's coming. Life is right now.

Right now is the juncture between me in my focused leading-edge experience and who I really am as Source. And the way I feel now is about the way I'm managing that connection.

Life, my life -- whether I call [it] a joyous life or whether I call [it] a miserable life -- the sum of my life, which is all right now, is about my relationship with my Source, nothing more.

Abraham-Hicks: Coaching a guest on taking the emotional journey

Here's my understanding of deliberate creating at this point: We are pure love, that is our nature. There is only Love. That's all there is. When we ask, this Loving Source gives immediately, and we receive our desire when we allow ourselves to be the love that we are. Therefore, when Abe says to take the emotional journey, they are asking us to make choices that feel good. The choice can be choosing thoughts that feel better or taking action that feels better. The point is that the better we feel, the more we are allowing ourselves to be aware of who we truly are. The whole point is not the thought or the action or to get something we desire, it is to remember who we are. We are truly free when we realize that all we need is who we already are.

There are many channeled beings and authors who talk about deliberate creation. Whatever feels good is the one to read and study, not because they know more than you or I do, but because they are giving information in a way that helps us remember who we are. I have studied metaphysical, spiritual and psychological concepts for over 40 years. I'm sure all of those experiences and the information I found brought me to this place. But Abraham's information was exactly what I was looking for: that key information on the connection between our thoughts and feelings and practical advice on how to be in control of my thoughts, and therefore, my feelings. The thoughts are not important in and of themselves, how we feel is all that is important. The more I realize and live that, the freer I feel.

All we really need to do is love ourselves and all else will follow.

The following is a long quote by Abraham that has such good information in it about the emotional journey:

Guest: ...I also get the power I have to create which manifests in a way that even scares me and I'm aware that I pull back.

Abe: Because?

Guest: That's a good question. It occurs to me...

Abe: All of our questions are good questions.

Guest: .....I don't have the answer to. I don't think. Maybe I don't deserve. I really don't know exactly where it comes from.

Abe: Let us put it to you this way. We think you are misspeaking really. It's not possible for something to come to you before you are vibrationally ready for it. So, we think that what's happening is you don't want to get too far ahead of what those around you are understanding. That you are a teacher and you want to live what you are teaching, but when someone says, it scares me. It's happening so fast it scares me. We say that can't be true, because if you were really frightened it wouldn't be happening. In other words, there's too much vibrational discord in that. So, what you must mean is it's going faster than I knew it would. Or, I'm better aligned than I knew I was or I don't know where it's headed, but I must be ready for it or it wouldn't be moving in this direction.

Guest: I'll get a feeling like I'm sitting here and my heart is beating. It occurs like it's fear. And I'll be in a great situation and something and really present to what's going on and something small will happen and then it's like I get my heart in my throat thing and something comes out of my mouth and when it does it occurs to me that it comes from a very small person inside of me.

Abe: Well, one thing, we can feel many things about your vibration, but let us just give you some things we think it is important for you to remember and begin practicing so that you not only remember it from time to, but really know it. You are a powerful creator. And you are accustomed to things going well for you.

Abe: You summon quite a bit of energy, more than many people that you would know, and you focus it into your future experience so that the momentum of your life experience is moving along at a nice clip. So what that means is when you are in sync with that energy you feel the ease of it and when you are not in sync with it you feel the discord of it. For example, when you are in an airplane at 50,000 feet moving five or six hundred miles an hour and when you look out the window and you see the landscape just gently going by down there everything feels like it is in perfect order. But if you were to put the aircraft on the ground at that speed it would not feel comfortable. So, what we are getting at is, when you are up to speed with the energy that you have summoned, then it feels like the next logical step. Nothing feels like it is getting away from you....
...when you are asking for the energy and the energy is moving through you and then for whatever reason you focus pointedly on something that is in opposition to the energy.

Guest: Overwhelmed.
Abe: The remedy for that if you are wanting a smoother flow through all of this is make a decision today that you are going to start letting the way you want to feel be your guiding factor rather than the things that you are going to think about.
Abe: ....feel the difference between picking a subject and then trying to focus upon the subject in a way that feels good and instead focusing upon the subject, I want to feel good, and then letting anything that vibrationally matches that come to us. So when you focus upon the way you want to feel then not only do beautiful chandeliers come to you if they are a vibrational match to where you are, but beautiful people and beautiful cars and other words things that are the vibrational essence to that begin to come. You have a broader spectrum from which to choose and you can hold yourself more in vibrational alignment because it is the feeling tone that you've set that is bringing the information rather than trying to sift out into a subject and make the subject fit the way you want to feel. ....It comes along in the same way of saying, if you try to think the thought which will have a corresponding feeling sometimes it can be more cumbersome than identifying the way you want to feel and finding a way of feeling that way which will automatically bring other things that feel like that to you. It's what we call creating from the inside-out. other words, creating from the feeling place of expecting well-being so well-being in all manner shows up and surprises and delights me, but it's always well-being.

[Abe goes on at length and very well about allowing and how this works with the Universe. Really worth listening to again. Also walks her from discouragement about eating.]

Abe: But we are happy to visit with you about this because we are coaching you on taking an emotional journey and you are not equipped to take an emotional journey because you like everybody else or nearly everybody else would rather take an action based journey. Almost everybody would rather jump into action and try to make something happen with action than line up your energy. But when you jump into action without lining up your energy what happens? You go to the spa, you make all that effort they said to do and you don't get any results. You've got to shift the energy first you see. And we know it's hard to shift the energy. We know it's hard to make it an emotional journey when you're so used to it being an action journey. But we promise you that you can if you will keep trying. If you don't want to do anger, maybe you can jump over it. Try to jump all the way to frustration if you don't want to do anger. Try it, maybe you'll make it.

Guest: Ok, where I'm wanting to do with this is the possibility of loving myself where I am.

Abe: It's too big a jump. You're way far from there. In other words, it's too big of a jump. We think you should love yourself as you are. We think you should love yourself as we love you. If you felt about you the way we feel about you, anything that you want would happen immediately. There would be no waiting for anything. You would never get an old stale desire. Every desire would remain fresh because it would only be a brief moment before it would manifest fully. You would never have something that you were wanting for a long period of time.

Abe: ...If you have this standard of something that you want and you have not yet managed to achieve that standard and you are so aware that you are not where you want to be and that's the dominant drum that you are beating then you have to find a way to soften that, you see. And that's what this whole process is about. It's about...sometimes people will say, well I don't understand why you feel bad. And we say, they don't understand. They have not walked around with you. They have not launched the rockets of desires with you. Nobody else knows. Every emotion that everyone feels is about this range between the idea of your desire and the idea that you offer consistently about the desire. And when those two vibrations are in alignment then you are at one with you and there is no resistance within you and all things are unfolding to accommodate this single, pure idea. But when you want something that you don't believe, when you want something that isn't, when you want something but you are taking score about what is, now there is a vibrational discord that will not let it in. So the emotional journey is about soothing that vibrational discord regardless of what the physical right now experience is. And when you soothe that vibrational discord now there is nothing standing in the way and now effortless you get the results that you want.
